How the Playboy Bunnies celebrated Christmas after Hefner's mansion described as 'dirty'

With the ‘big man’ already living in their house, the Playboy Bunnies had their own special ways of celebrating the other ‘big man’ of the year.

Of course, Hugh Hefner was known for having massive celebrations at his mansion and at Christmas, the bunnies kept that up – even if they describe the place as ‘dirty’.

Although, some of their ways of getting festive are pretty unconventional – if that’s a surprise.

Back when The Girls Next Door reality series was on TV, we got a bit of an insight into the women’s lives there as the Bunnies shacked up under one roof alongside the millionaire’s wife and girlfriends.

The Mansion’s massive garden ended up featuring a tobogganing slope and they even crafted a ‘Panty Chandelier’.

But there most notable creation has to be the Snowman Hefner.

Holly Madison explained: “We built a snow Hef, which we surprised him with.

"We pulled out a smoking jacket and a pipe and a hat, and we made a snow Hef complete with a penis.”

But the bunnies didn’t leave little snow Hef hanging out in the breeze – they made sure he was covered up with a robe and hat, of course.

Hef seemed pretty buzzing with his little Snowman replica and posed for snaps alongside him.

The Panty Chandelier was literally just the golden chandelier being adorned with women’s underwear.

Hefner’s wife Crystal showed it off above the Christmas tree and said on the show: “Hef asked if I wanted to take them down but I said we can just leave them up there because that’s what this place is known for; good times and panty-less people.”

In the living room, which doubled as a ‘movie room’, there was an absolute whopper of a Christmas tree – with ’35 boxes’ of LED lights.

Here, they’d cuddle up for festive films and while Crystal preferred Elf, Hef was a lover of the classics.

“Hef’s favourite Christmas movie is Miracle on 34th Street. Possibly ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, or possibly ‘Christmas Story’,” she said.

But while they may have been cosying up in front of festive films and decorating with underwear, some of the women who lived at the Mansion have described it as being pretty grubby.

Izabella St. James previously wrote a tell-all memoir about her time at the Los Angeles mansion, called Bunny Tales, as she revealed: "We all did our best to decorate our rooms and make them homely, but the mattresses on our beds were disgusting - old, worn and stained."

She went on to add that Hef was ‘used to dirty carpets’ despite wanting the girlfriends to have ‘girly’ rooms with ‘white carpets and pink walls’.

Hmm, not so festive.
