How to Get Notified When Friend, Group Chat, Server Removes You on Discord

1 month ago 4

Discord doesn’t have a native feature to notify you when someone removes you as a friend or kicks you from a group or Discord server. However, you can use third-party tools like BetterDiscord or Vencord to get these notifications. Here’s how they help:

Both tools will notify you when:

  • A friend unfriends you.
  • You are kicked from a server or group chat.
  • A server you are in gets deleted.

The two apps work similarly, so you can use whichever one you already have installed or choose based on your preference.

⚠️ Warning: Both BetterDiscord and Vencord are third-party tools not officially endorsed by Discord, and using them may violate Discord’s terms of service. While not all plugins breach Discord’s terms, the ones mentioned here are generally considered safe. Please do your due diligence.

Method 1: BetterDiscord with GuildAndFriendRemovalAlerts Plugin

BetterDiscord allows you to add custom plugins and themes to Discord. The GuildAndFriendRemovalAlerts plugin notifies you when someone removes you from their friend list or kicks you from a server.

  1. Go to BetterDiscord’s official website and download the installer.
  2. Run the installer and install BetterDiscord on Discord. For step-by-step instructions on how to install BetterDiscord, check out this article.
  3. Visit the GuildAndFriendRemovalAlerts plugin page and click Download to install the plugin.
  4. Open Discord and go to User Settings > BetterDiscord > Plugins.
  5. Click Open Plugins Folder, then drag and drop the downloaded plugin file into this folder.
  6. Enable the GuildAndFriendRemovalAlerts plugin.

Once enabled, you will receive alerts whenever someone removes you as a friend, kicks you from a server, or if a server gets deleted. There are no customization options—enabling the plugin simply sends you notifications.

Note: If you need a removal history in addition to alerts, consider using the RemovedConnectionAlerts plugin available on BetterDiscord.

Method 2: Using Vencord with RelationshipNotifier Plugin

Vencord is another tool that enhances Discord. The RelationshipNotifier plugin notifies you when someone removes you from their friend list or when you’re removed from a group chat or server.

  1. Go to Vencord’s official website and follow the instructions to download and install it. For step-by-step instructions on how to install Vencord, check out this article.
  2. Open Discord and go to User Settings > Plugins.
  3. Search for RelationshipNotifier and enable it.
  4. Vencord will prompt you to Restart the Discord app for the plugin to start working.

Once enabled, you will start receiving alerts whenever a friend removes you or if you are removed from a group chat or server.
