The wearable industry is taking a leap with several enhanced AI features giving them a new feel and a novel version. Companies like Samsung, Apple, Huawei, and some more are giving their wearable segment a revamp genre. In this regard, the latest report reveals that Huawei is working on an innovation that will change how we perceive smartwatches. The tech giant unveiled their smartwatch GT 5 and GT 5 Pro last year with various features that made them top-of-the-line.
The company registered the latest patent for its upcoming smartwatch. Huawei is reportedly developing a new 3D fingerprint sensor for its smartwatches and thus the company registered the patent. The company might be exploring new ways to add an optical fingerprint sensor to its smartwatches. This will also support multiple gestures and actions.
As per the report, the design of the upcoming smartwatch showcases the entire display that will be capable of reading the user’s fingerprint and it will allow users to perform various tasks with the help of each finger. Additionally, the fingers will not just allow gestures but it will also be able to control the brightness of the screen and volume levels. If this happens then the entire display of the smartwatch will be a fingerprint sensor and it can register a 360-degree imprint of the finger which will allow it to perform multiple actions and gestures.
The report further reveals that each finger can be used for multiple actions, for example, you can register your thumb to perform back actions, the index finger can be used to make calls, and the middle finger can be used to close applications. In addition, users can also use their fingers on the sensors and twist them either clockwise or anti-clockwise to increase brightness and volume. However, the company has not officially revealed anything about registering the design patent.
