Huge American popstar teams up with ITV for special one-off concert show

KATY PERRY has announced she has teamed up with ITV for a special one-off concert show.

Katy Perry: Night Of A Lifetime will air later this year and feature the American superstar performing some of her biggest hits alongside songs from her new album 143.

She will film the 90 minute special next month at the famous Central Hall Westminster in London and I’m sure celebrity guests will be popping up left, right and centre.

Katy said: “I am so chuffed to transform Central Hall Westminster for this very cool and cozy evening for my UK fans.

“I can’t wait to be back in London, one of my favourite places in the world, for this up close and personal dance party of a lifetime.”

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning ITV, added: “Katy is one of the world's biggest artists, and we are thrilled she is coming to the UK to record a special exclusively for ITV and ITVX.

“It's set to be a memorable evening full of iconic hits we all know and love; you don't want to miss it.”

ITV are knocking it out of the park with their concert shows right now, with An Evening With Dua Lipa also due to air later this year.

Finally there is something to look forward to as the cold nights draw in.

Tate straps in for life in fast lane

Tate McRae is on it like a car bonnet ahead of a jam-packed 2025.

She posed in this snap to promote her new single 2 Hands, which is out now and will feature on her newly announced album So Close To What.

The Greedy singer has also just announced a massive world tour, including stops at arenas in Dublin, Birmingham, London, Glasgow, and Manchester in May.

Linkin Park confirmed a tour too yesterday with a performance at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 28, while Sam Fender revealed his third studio album People Watching will be out on February 21.

Bryan Adams has put out his Live At The Royal Albert Hall 2024 box set, and Flo have released their debut album Access All Areas, featuring new single In My Bag with Gorilla.

There are also new singles Light Again from Lil Nas X and BTS star Jin’s tune Running Wild, co-written by Gary Barlow.

American R&B star SZA has opened up about her headline set at Glastonbury this summer, after an underwhelming crowd turned out.

She told British Vogue: “I just felt like nothing I could do would be enough for Glastonbury. It scared me. I was like, well, I wish I wasn’t doing it, but I couldn’t walk away.

“I want to be the second Black woman in history [to headline the festival], but it’s such a f***ing tall order.

“It’s like, no matter what you do here, you will be subject to criticism. Because of who you are. But that’s life.”

“From the moment they arrived, they seemed totally in love.

“Joe introduced Doja to all the stars like Paul Mescal and Ridley Scott.

“He looked like the proudest man in the room and kept hugging and kissing Doja.”

Denzel’s winding down

Denzel Washington has confirmed he will appear in Black Panther 3 – but it will be one of his final movies.

The American acting legend said: “For me, it’s about the filmmakers. Especially at this point in my career, I am only interested in working with the best.

“I don’t know how many more films I’m going to make. It’s probably not that many.

“I want to do things I haven’t done.”

Referring to a Broadway production opening in February, he added: “I played Othello at 22, I am about to play Othello at 70.

“After that, I am playing Hannibal. After that, I’ve been talking to Steve McQueen about a film.

“After that, Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the new Black Panther.

“After that, I’m going to do the film Othello.

“After that, I’m going to do King Lear. After that, I’m going to retire.”

Actress Sydney Sweeney says she struggles to feel a sisterhood in Hollywood, after film producer Carol Baum said she is “not pretty” and “can’t act.”

Sydney told Vanity Fair: “In this industry, all that people say is, ‘Women empowering other women.’

“None of it’s happening.

The Weeknd is taking his fans into the future by premiering his new song and video on Apple Vision Pro.
