Hugh Grant's Version of His Night With RHONY's Luann de Lesseps Involves No Steamy Makeout

Hugh Grant has a different version of his night out with Real Housewives of New York alum Luann de Lesseps and it doesn’t include the PDA she described.

In a post shared on X, the Bridget Jones star responded to de Lesseps’ claim that the pair “heavily” made out after meeting in the Hamptons some time ago. “Steady on,” Grant tweeted. “I do remember meeting a charming RHNY in a restaurant, but I’d like to stress it was about 15 years ago. I don’t recall shots or kissing but her memory might be better than mine.”

De Lesseps told her side of tale with TooFab on Nov. 22, stating she was out at celeb hotspot in the Hamptons, Pierre’s, when she grabbed a table right next to him. “I said, ‘Sit me right behind him.’ I pushed out of my chair real fast, and I bumped into him — flirting 101 — I bumped into him and said, ‘Oh I’m so sorry.’ He knows who I am because I know Andy,” de Lesseps said. 

“I go, ‘I’m so sorry. Can I buy you a shot I feel terrible.’ He goes, ‘Okay, but I’ll come have a shot with you if you do one with me,'” she continued with the unreliable tale. “Before you know it, we are taking shots and making out … heavily at the table! My brother was like, ‘I can’t believe you’re making out with Hugh Grant’, and I was like, ‘Neither can I.'”

Grant has been married to Anna Eberstein since 2018. The couple have been together since around 2012. De Lesseps was married to Alexandre de Lesseps from 1993 to 2009 and to Tom D’Agostino Jr. from 2016 to 2017.

The “Money Can’t Buy You Class” singer first shared her Grant story on the Nov. 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live. The 59-year-old TV personality, The Real Housewives of Potomac star Stacey Rusch, and Andy Cohen were playing the game, “Let Your Freak Flags Fly” when she spilled the tea about the 64-year-old actor.

“Never have I ever hooked up with someone famous,” said the TV host.

De Lesseps whispered to Cohen, “Remember Hugh Grant?” 

“Well, nothing happened,” he claimed.

“Well, making out!” she quipped. “That doesn’t count?”

Cohen wasn’t in the room, but de Lesseps revealed Jimmy Fallon was there. So, maybe he can confirm the hookup? 

Grant has kept quiet about the alleged canoodling, but we have a feeling his next visit to the clubhouse is going to be an interesting one.
