A man has been left fending off One Direction fans as he looks so much like Harry Styles people are asking for autographs.
From being stopped on trains to having his very own moment in the spotlight, the lookalike was left stunned at how many people mistook him for the famed pop star. It comes after an impromptu competition was held in Soho, London, to find the man who looked most like the X Factor alumnus.
Oscar Journeaux, who has been mistaken for Styles on more than one occasion, was crowned the winner of the tournament and given £50 for his accomplishment. But he has since revealed the similarities between himself and the chart-topping musician are causing problems.
Explaining the time he was stopped in public by a confused One Direction fan, Oscar revealed he had "just saw my train pull in" before he was confronted by the member of the public. Oscar said: "He grabbed me, and he's like, 'You're Harry Styles, you're Harry Styles, can I get an autograph?' and then I insisted for a while 'No, that's not me' but he was, he was certain.
"So at a certain point I just gave it, I gave it to him and I tried to run for the train but I missed the doors." While Oscar found himself in first place at the communal lookalike contest, the worst of the bunch was given a four pack of beer.
Fellow competitor Andy Bradley spoke of his own experience in the competition, having caught a glimpse of Oscar's winning appearance. Andy also graced the stage where he thanked the audience, though some say he looks a bit more like "Roman Kemp in a Harry Styles-inspired wig" than the One Direction member.
It is not the first celebrity lookalike contest to go viral, with a now-famous Timothée Chalamet tournament in the United States kicking things off. The actor himself even showed up at the event.
Four arrests were made at the competition as police presence was spotted at the event, which did not have the proper permits for what was described as an "unpermitted costume contest."
A swathe of other lookalike match-ups have been held across the globe, with a Jeremy Allen White tournament the most recent to go viral of these makeshift events.
The Chicago-based contest crowned Ben Shabad as the man who looks most like The Bear and The Iron Claw star. Ben, a 37-year-old mental health therapist, took home $50 as a reward for winning the tournament as well as a packet of cigarettes, given in honour of the constantly smoking chef from the hit FX show, The Bear.
