I'm A Celeb favourite leaves co-stars concerned as campmate says 'she's 100% walking'

Love Island bombshell Maura Higgins has left her fellow I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! campmates worried after successfully fooling them about the conditions of her camp.

The Irish beauty made her first appearance on the ITV reality show alongside Reverend Richard Coles on Thursday's episode (November 21).

However, upon their arrival in the Australian jungle, they were given a secret mission to hide the 'true' luxury of their Jungle Junkyard camp from the other celebrities. Despite the camp appearing rundown and lacking in comforts, it was actually quite plush beneath its grim exterior.

Maura and Richard put on a convincing act, leading Coleen Rooney to describe the camp as a "jail" and GK Barry to question if Maura could survive in the jungle.

On Friday's episode (November 22), the campmates woke up to another rainy day, with GK expressing concern for Maura and Richard, saying: "But do you know what, poor Maura and Richard. If they have to stay down there another night, Maura's walking, 100% Maura's walking."

Unbeknownst to them, Maura had enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep, cheekily recommending: "I'd recommend sleeping with a priest! " The arrival of Maura and Richard has been well received by viewers, despite the pair having to share a double bed, reports the Express.

The I'm A Celeb camp welcomed fresh faces and immediately felt a boost of energy, with Maura causing a stir after her grand entrance. The Irish stunner's odds for taking the crown have tumbled from 9/1 to just 4/1 according to William Hill, making her a hot contender for Queen of the Jungle.

As we speak, Danny Jones from McFly heads the betting as the favourite at 4/5, while Tulisa's impressive climb has seen her odds slashed down to a tempting 6/1 from an initial 16/1.

In a punter-pleasing move, William Hill's rep, Lee Phelps commented: "Our punters have been quick to back Maura Higgins after her arrival on I'm A Celebrity last night and the former Love Island contestant is now the second favourite to win the series. Maura's price of 9/1 to sit on the jungle throne earlier this week has collapsed into 4/1 as of Friday morning, while she's also odds-on at 10/11 to progress the furthest out of the females in camp, ahead of Tulisa (15/8)."

I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
