I’m A Celebrity has paid some jaw-dropping fees for their famous contestants.
This year’s show starts on Sunday [17 November] with an impressive lineup branded the “best yet,” which includes Coleen Rooney, Tulisa, Jane Moore, Oti Mabuse and GK Barry among other recognisable names.
However, not all jungle stars are paid equal and some have taken home a seriously hefty sum for their time on the ITV competition show. Recent reports suggest that Rooney has pocketed the biggest fee in IAC history, over a whopping £1.5 million for competing.

Fellow I’m A Celeb stars haven’t been so lucky with their payments as some previous show icons received substantially less than Coleen, with some given just £13,000 for their jungle efforts.
Daily Star has taken a look back at some of the most and least paid TV stars that have ever competed on the ITV show ahead of the 2024 season premiere.
Rooney has reportedly been eager to get Down Under for a few years now, but she’s only just signed up as she feels ready to leave her children and husband Wayne back home. Whispers claim the TV personality was offered the biggest jungle deal in TV history, with over £1.5 million in the bank.
Politician Nigel Farage was said to have made around £1.5 million from his appearance in the 2023 series, meaning that if the claims are true then Coleen is the highest paid I’m A Celebrity contestant ever.
Coleen was recently under the spotlight for the Wagatha Christie dispute with Rebekah Vardy which culminated in a 2022 libel case in the English High Court. Vardy appeared on IAC back in 2017 and was booted out early on, which means there’s every possibility Coleen could survive longer than her rival.
Caitlyn Jenner, Harry Redknapp and Boy George were all reportedly paid a cool £500k for joining the ITV lineup during their respective series. In an interview with MailOnline, Boy George cheekily quipped: “I feel like I’ve been paid well for it, so I’m going to be as Boy George as I can.”
Jungle queen Katie Price, who met her future husband and father of her children Peter Andre on the show back in 2004, was reportedly offered £450k. Ex-Arsenal footballer Ian Wright took £400k in 2019 and professional boxer Amir Khan earned the same amount just two years prior.
Back in 2020 Mo Farah made his first reality TV appearance and placed sixth during the 2020 series, which took place at Gwrych Castle due to Covid-19. At the time, insiders told The Sun that ITV executives were “desperate” to bag Mo on the show, which could be why the Olympian received an impressive £300,000.
Made In Chelsea star Georgia Toffolo was reportedly paid just £13,000 to appear on the show back in 2017. She won her series and later returned for a stint in the South Africa series.
Hollyoaks’ Malique Thompson-Dwyer reportedly took £15k, The X Factor’s Myles Stephenson and Britain’s Got Talent’s Jordan Banjo allegedly earned £25,000 and The Inbetweeners star Emily Atack was given a modest fee of £40k.
Paralympian Holly Arnold was given £50k for the 2020 series and was the first celebrity to be sent home.
