Maura Higgins spoke about taking revenge on an unfaithful ex-boyfriend, and fans think his identity is linked to another I'm a Celebrity campmate

Maura Higgins revealed the wild way she got revenge on a cheating ex-boyfriend, and while she kept his identity a secret, fans think they’ve figured out who the mystery man is.

The former Love Island star opened up about her payback story on Sunday’s I’m a Celebrity, speaking to a shocked Jane Moore and Danny Jones. Maura shared she had suspicions that her man was up to no good, and immediately got to action after a search through his phone proved her right.

“Maybe I need to go to his phone. So anyways, that night, I got to the phone, and I opened it. I didn’t have a clue who that man was. I said, I’m going to get revenge on him,” Maura said and she took a trip down memory lane.

“So what did you do?” Jane asked, completely invested in the story.

Maura revealed: “I had a plan. And no word of a lie, when he went to the gym the next day I got his toothbrush and I filmed myself scrubbing in the verges [of the toilet], he had a dentist appointment that day!”

In a shocking turn, she also divulged: “He had a jacuzzi outside, and this is bad what I’m about to say, I considered taking a dump in it.”

“You don’t wanna mess with Maura!" Danny exclaimed, as the other campmates looked at Maura in a new light.

After Maura shared her tale, viewers took to Twitter to that one campmate in particular should have been paying more attention to Maura’s tale of revenge. Many fans were quick to point out that Barry McGuigan is also on the show, and that Maura dated his son, Shane, prior to finding fame on Love Island. The couple met at a David Haye vs Tony Bellew boxing rematch in 2018, when Maura was working as a ring girl.

Fans soon put two and two together, and claimed that Shane could have been the victim of Maura’s revenge - while also begging for Maura and Barry to have a proper conversation about the relationship.

“I would laugh if the guy Maura is talking about that she was with is Barry’s son,” one person wrote, with another asking, “Is Maura talking about Barry’s son and his toothbrush…? The timeline matches up.”

Another stated: “Not Maura talking about her ex who is Barry’s son. She’s talking about his son right next to him and he has no clue.”

“Maura was talking about Barry's son. Good job Barry wasn't there,” another viewer agreed, while one person questioned, “Why have we not seen any chat with Maura and Barry yet? Surely they already know each other, she went out with his son.”
