Last week, Selena's film "Emilia Pérez" premiered at the American French Film Festival in LA. Selena wore a black ruched dress for the event and could be seen posing on the red carpet at times with her hands placed low in front of her stomach:
To me, it looks like a natural place to rest your hands, but some people speculated the placement was intentional due to body-shaming comments Selena apparently faced after another recent event.

"The fact that she probably saw all those disgusting comments about her body yesterday and today she's covering her stomach 💔🥺," one TikTok user wrote over a now-viral video of Selena on the red carpet. They appeared to be referring to her appearance at the Monday premiere of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, where Selena wore a red sculpted dress with a low neckline and a peplum waist.
The TikTok video has since been removed but was viewed by BuzzFeed before it was deleted.

As the post continued to spread, Selena hit the comments herself and said that actually wasn't the case.

"This makes me sick," she said of the speculation.

"I have SEBO in my small intestine," she continued. "It flares up."
SIBO stands for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, which, according to the Mayo Clinic, happens when "the passage of food and waste products in the digestive tract" slows, "creating a breeding ground for bacteria." Symptoms include bloating, stomach pain, and malnutrition.
Selena also has lupus and underwent a kidney transplant in 2017.

"I don't care that I don't look like a stick figure," Selena added. "I don't have that body. End of story."

"No I am NOT a victim," she concluded. "I'm just human."
It's ridiculous and honestly exhausting that people are still commenting on other people's bodies. Selena looks fine!! Get a life!!!
