The Traitors star Wilf Webster has explained what makes the final so hard.

Wilf was a Traitor on the first series of the BBC One hit, making it to the final before being exposed and eliminated alongside fellow Traitor Kieran Tompsett. It was Faithfuls Aaron Evans, Hannah Byczkowski and Meryl Williams who won and claimed the £101, 050 cash prize.

This year's series of The Traitors is nearing the end, with the final airing to BBC One on Friday (January 24) at 8.30pm. And who better to talk about the upcoming final than than one of the OG Traitors and finalists, Wilf?

Wilf who has teamed up with Mecca Bingo, said what makes the final so tough is that less people are in the game, making it much harder to to nab people for chats and get them on side. Asked what the final is like, he told Daily Star: "It's very similar. I feel like the talking is a bit more awkward."

Recalling the struggles Kas had in this year's series before he was banished, he went on: "Do you know that time where Kas was going into rooms and people weren't talking to him and that's because they were trying to have conversations about who they're going to banish, and he was that conversation?

"It's like that but with a such a smaller amount of people which makes it awkward. For me, I was running around trying to get Hannah and the others to vote for Kieran, I was going from room to room, and it was horrible. There are less eyes on you, but for longer periods of time because there are less people, that's very hard."

Asked if there are any moments from his series that he wished made it to air, Wilf admitted he was gutted that his close bond with eventual winner Hannah wasn't shown as they were "best mates" during the series. He also reckoned it would have given viewers the chance to see the "nice" side of him and not just his scheming ways as a Traitor.

He said: "The fun that I had with Hannah, me and Hannah were literally best mates and we screamed and laughed so much about such random stuff. I wish that aired so people could be like, ‘Oh, Wilf was actually quite nice, he’s just a fun guy’, but they only have like an hour to show like 17/18 hours worth of footage every day, so I get that it’s hard but I wish they showed that there was a bit more fun going on there as well."

Asked who he has winning this year's series, Wilf said: "The Faithfuls will win it because I think if The Seer role comes into play the probability of the Faithfuls getting The Seer is more powerful. I hope Freddie, Leanne, and Alexander. Yeah. And then Charlotte will be there as a Traitor but she won’t win."

Host Claudia Winkleman has revealed that one member of The Faithful will be granted an "extraordinary power" which will change the game. Fans believe this power is the ability of a seer, another word for someone who can see the future.

In the background of several scenes, a book entitled The Seer has been visible, prompting fans to believe the twist will be that a player will become The Seer. However, this is not yet confirmed.
