Talk TV presenter clashes with guest over comments
Talk TV will undergo a scheduling shake-up after Peter Cardwell was rushed to hospital after collapsing at his local GP's office.
After going missing from his weekend slots, the broadcaster took to social media on Tuesday and shared: "Thanks to everyone in touch about my health.
"Bit of drama yesterday at the GP where I collapsed and was brought to A&E in an ambulance; many tests, drips etc. Docs told me to rest for a week, so I’m hopefully back on air on Weds 29th. NHS and @TalkTV colleagues have been great."
Peter was inundated with well wishes from concerned viewers and other presenters including one fan, who penned: "Hope you didn’t have to wait too long in A&E. Get well soon."
To which the presenter revealed: "Thanks -- they were excellent. I was very impressed."

Another viewer echoed: "I was only talking about you earlier. Get well soon." Former Tory MP Paul Scully commented: "Just seen the news. Glad you're on the mend."
As ex-GB News presenter Mark Dolan also shared his well wishes and wrote: "Get well soon legend."
Peter's hospital visit comes just days after he revealed he wasn't feeling well and had been battling an illness since Christmas."

Last week (January 17) , Peter posted: "I haven’t felt properly well physically since Christmas Day and been battling through in a very Silly Man/'l’m Not Ill' sort of way.
"Today a wall of flu-like symptoms have downed me. I’m not broadcasting again until at least Tuesday, to rest and recover. (Mental health all good)."
Although it has yet to be revealed which presenter will replace him, Nick de Bois took over his weekend slot with a three-hour show from 10am on Sunday and then a two-hour and 30-minute show on Saturday.
