Celebrity jewellery designer and 'Bling Empire' star Lynn Ban has tragically passed away at the age of 51.

Lynn, who appeared on the Netflix show 'Bling Empire: New York', sadly lost her life just weeks after undergoing brain surgery following a devastating ski accident on Christmas Eve.

Her son Sebastian took to his late mother's Instagram account on Wednesday January 22 to break the news, saying: "My mum passed away on Monday."

He explained that he knew his mother had wanted to share her journey after the accident and brain surgery, so he thought she would appreciate one final post sharing the news with her supporters.

Sebastian described Lynn as his "best friend" and "the best mother", praising her as "someone who cared for all". He remembered how she always had a smile on her face, even during the tough times of her recovery process.

He continued: "She was a fighter until the end and is the strongest woman I know. She was the funniest and coolest mum I could ever ask for."

Lynn had dedicated her life to caring for her family, and Sebastian vowed to do everything in his power to ensure she is never forgotten and that her life is celebrated as it deserves to be.

In a poignant post late last year, Lynn had reflected on how life can change "in the blink of an eye" as she opened up about her horrific accident. She recalled the fateful day: "Christmas Eve on a beautiful sunny day in Aspen on vacation with my family, I had a ski accident that would change my life ."

Lynn remembered how the accident occurred: "At the top of the mountain I caught a tip and face planted."

Fortunately, she always wears a helmet while skiing. "Luckily I always wear a helmet, It didn't seem that bad at the time and I was able to ski to the bottom. Erring on the side of caution , I wanted to get checked out by ski patrol for a concussion . They assessed me and I was cleared."

After lunch, however, she developed "had a bit of a headache" prompting a paramedic to recommend a hospital visit for a CAT scan.

"I went in a taxi with Jett and within 30 minutes they told us I had a brain bleed and needed to be airlifted to the trauma hospital."

"Last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniotomy with Jett by my side. (sic)".
