From a cold potential mother-in-law to an untraditional engagement, the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 7 overseas couples are seeing if their love can go the distance during episode 9.
90 Day Fiance’s Bozo Called Vanja His ‘Friend’
Vanja was on her way to Croatia to finally meet Bozo, but she missed her connecting flight. To make matters worse, her overseas boyfriend still hadn’t responded to her repeated calls.
“I’m on my way to see Bozo, but at this point I’m worried. It’s been an entire day since I’ve heard anything,” she explained to producers. “He didn’t message me while I was flying. What if he changed his mind about us?”
The belly dancer finally was able to get a hold of Bozo and informed him that she would be arriving later than expected. Meanwhile, Bozo felt anxious after revealing his girlfriend’s identity to his mother, but after some thought, he realized the stress was worth it because of how much Vanja meant to him.
It was worth it as Vanja and Bozo shared a warm reunion at the airport. Bozo took Vanja to a cooking class and while the outing was going well, Vanja was shocked when Bozo told the other students that they were “just friends.”
When the date ended, Vanja was surprised when Bozo didn’t ask to spend the night with her.
90 Day Fiance’s Chidi and Rayne’s Fight Continued
After a blowout argument with Chidi’s family, Rayne called it the “worst day” of her life and asked him to come to a hotel with her because “his whole family ganged up on” her.
“I don’t think it’s a matter of if I want her back because that’s my utmost desire,” Chidi told his sister. In response, she said she wouldn’t make him choose her over Rayne and would support him in his decision-making.
“Chidi needs love but I don’t think she’s the right person for Chidi,” his sister said through tears, telling Chidi that Rayne had a “war mentality.”
“Are you willing to give up your family?” she asked him.
Rayne and Chidi remained separated for two days, only speaking through text messages. Although Rayne invited Chidi to her hotel room, he had yet to go and instead met up with his best friend to discuss the situation.
Chidi confided in his friend that, although he was in love with Rayne, he wasn’t sure he could handle being with her. He decided to reach out to the U.S. native and arrange a meeting.
90 Day Fiance’s Tigerlily is Heading Back to Jordan
Tigerlily had officially returned from her trip to Jordan during episode 9.
After a month and a half, Tigerlily let her friend Cruz know that she planned to visit her new husband soon but noted that Adnan had been “more controlling” during their time apart.
“It’s not just not shaking someone’s hand or not wearing some revealing top. It’s a lot,” Tigerlily told her friend, explaining that Adnan wanted her to find a new non-male chiropractor. “I was upset, so I didn’t take his calls and it literally sent him into the hospital.”
Despite their issues, Tigerlily told Cruz that she and Adnan plan to conceive a child on her next trip to Jordan. Meanwhile, Adnan admitted things with his wife had been difficult but looked forward to seeing Tigerlily. He also touched on the panic attack that sent him to the hospital, reiterating that he didn’t want Tigerlily to see a male doctor.
Tigerlily’s trip took a bump while on the plane to Jordan after seeing a picture of Adnan on social media that she deemed inappropriate. Despite Tigerlily telling him to delete it, he said it was fine because he was a man.
90 Day Fiance’s Matilda Was Upset Niles Was Going Against Tradition
Matilda was still in shock after Niles dropped the bombshell that he didn’t intend to marry her on this trip to Ghana, insisting that he’d “told her so many times.”
“You didn’t tell me that. Stop that. Stop lying,” Matilda snapped back.
“Me and you knew that, when you come to Ghana, we will get married,” she told him in a joint confessional.
After returning to the hotel, Niles admitted he made a mistake and promised to be more direct going forward. In addition, he agreed to go through with a traditional engagement ceremony.
The Ghana native was upset that they were “going against tradition” and worried that her family wouldn’t accept him.
‘90 Day Fiance’ Star Ingrid’s Mom Isn’t a Fan of Brian
After a day on the beach, Brian asked Ingrid if she could arrange a meeting with her parents. The U.S. native was worried her parents wouldn’t like him as Ingrid had prefaced that they were “tough.”
Upon their arrival, Brian found out that he would only be meeting her mother as her father was “working.” During the visit, Ingrid’s mother, Luiza, was cold and reserved, refusing to join them for the lunch Ingrid prepared.
“My mom is making zero effort and I’m feeling really bad about it because even if the person is apprehensive of everything, of meeting the person, I think you need to treat people well,” Ingrid said in a confessional.
Ingrid told Brian she didn’t “know” why her mother was acting so standoffish, and Brian asked her if it had something to do with him being in a wheelchair. In a private confessional, Ingrid called her mother’s reaction “strange,” adding, “I feel bad for him and I feel embarrassed.”
Meanwhile, Luiza was asked by producers for her first impression of Brian, to which she replied, “Nothing good.”
“For me, I don’t accept. Neither does her dad. Absolutely not,” Luiza explained, adding that she didn’t have “any prejudice” toward him being in a wheelchair. “But why does she want to date and marry someone from another country? She’s our only daughter and has to stay close to us.”
90 Day Fiance’s Faith Was Unsure About Loren
Faith took Loren around her hometown, showing off the local gorgeous beaches. She shared how her family had struggled with poverty when she was young, leading her to leave for Manila to work at just 13 years old.
During the trip, Loren asked Faith if she was “really OK” with her introducing him to his family despite the STD and infidelity indiscretions.
“Yes, but I am very nervous,” the Philippines native replied. In a private confessional, Loren explained that Faith’s family’s opinion was very important, adding that it was “a huge factor in whether or not” his and Faith’s relationship moved forward.
“Are you planning to tell them what I did?” he asked. She replied that she wasn’t sure.
