Inside Emilia Fox's rarely seen home she shares with boyfriend - and it's absolutely stunning

When Silent Witness star Emilia Fox isn't busy on set, the actress is likely to be found relaxing at her cosy home, which features plenty of pops of colour and charm

Given that Emilia Fox is known for her incredible sense of style, it’s no surprise that her home is just as chic.

Emilia, who plays Dr Nikki Alexander in Silent Witness, has become a familiar face to viewers at home after starring in the show for more than two decades. At present the 50-year-old can be seen on TV screens as the crime series’ 28th season draws to a close over a thrilling two-part finale - though fans have nothing to fret as a 29th series has already been confirmed.

But when she’s not on set filming for the hit BBC show, Emilia is likely to be found relaxing at her cosy home in London where she lives with her partner Jonathan Stadlen. Let’s take a closer look inside…

Over on Instagram, where the actress has amassed over 140,000 followers, Emilia has occasionally given fans a peek inside the pad. In one sweet snap Emilia and Jonathan looked loved up as they posed for a photo in a living area within the property.

As the pair beamed from ear to ear, fans caught a glimpse inside the cosy living space which featured gorgeous wooden flooring as well as off white walls which gave the area a light and airy feel. To add more character to the warm white walls, a series of colourful prints could be seen, including one that boasted green, red and yellow colours.

In keeping with the added pops of the colour, the room featured plenty of vibrant pieces of decor to provide another layer of personality. Behind them peeked a patterned lampshade which tied in with the colours on the print.

In another snap, Emilia showed off the room from a different angle. In the photo, the Merlin actress posed for a photo at Christmastime as she smiled in front of her sprawling Christmas tree which was decorated with festive-themed ornaments and glass baubles.

As well as the colourful print from the previous photo, the room was decorated with a larger purple toned print which featured a stunning gold frame. Meanwhile, the window was also adorned with an assortment of decorations, including a garland of pink flowers and a sign that read ‘Love’.

Elsewhere the sofa was covered in a red and white gingham blanket as well as various floral print scatter cushions, ideal for giving the room a cosy feel. The snap also gave a glimpse of the garden area as plenty of leafy trees could be seen in the background.

In the past Emilia has spoken about her love for gardening and explained in 2014 how she’d become a gardener if she could change careers after previously creating her garden “from scratch” with the help of her garden designer friend.

“When I first moved in, the garden was full of rocks and stones and lots of odd protruding wood, but it had a lovely, huge bay tree and I’d always dreamed of having my own proper English country cottage garden. I’ve always found cottage gardens very romantic and I’m probably a bit of an old romantic,” she told the Oxford Mail.

She continued: “Sue laughed at me because when it came to bulb planting time she asked how many I wanted to order and I just said, cram it full, and they’re all coming up now – all the tulips. It’s like a floral revolution out there. There are pinks, whites, and almost black tulips.”

And back in 2023 Emilia opened up about life at home and described her typical routine. “I normally get up at 5.30 for filming. On Sundays it’s a treat to stay in bed. But we’ve got three dogs now, and my daughter, Rose, who’s 12, so it’s not as if we can have a mega lie-in. We’re up at 7.30am,” she told The Guardian.

She added: “I fantasise about coffee before I go to sleep. On weekdays, I tiptoe downstairs and make strong coffee in our Bialetti stove-top pot before work.”
