Gypsy Rose Blanchard and boyfriend Ken Urker celebrated with friends and family at their baby shower this weekend. The couple enjoyed the day at a venue filled with pink decorations, cookies and more treats.
A content creator shared some photos of the event via TikTok that showed lights decorating the outside of the building named the Arcadian Village and a sign in pink script that read, “Welcome to Gypsy’s Baby Shower.”
Ken, 31, and Gypsy, 33, looked happy despite a rumor that the two had called it quits.
“And once again the rumors are false,” TikTok creator Julie Louise said in the video posted on Saturday, November 16. “Ken and Gypsy have not broken up. In fact, today was Gypsy’s baby shower. Her family was all in attendance, as was Ken, and the film crew from Lifetime was there capturing the moment.”
She continued, “A creator had posted earlier this evening that [Gypsy and Ken] had broken up, but it turns out that is false. They’ve been out together all day at Gypsy’s baby shower. Earlier today there was a post made by Ken about his dog, Parker, missing. It turns out the dog was, in fact, missing, but he had just gotten out and he was soon found and he’s home safe and sound.”
The same day as the former felon’s baby shower, Gypsy shared that she would no longer be sharing as much personal content with her fans.
“I will no longer be posting personal content on this public platform,” Gypsy wrote in a post shared via TikTok. “Since I was released, I have shared with supporters my hardships and achievements through the lens of social media. However, I find myself at a crossroads that leads me to desire a more private life sharing with only family and close friends these special moments.”
Gypsy’s message continued to say that she was grateful for “all the support and anyone who has stood by my side. She also let fans know that she would still be posting updates about her upcoming memoir, My Time to Stand. However, she explained that she had made a new personal account on Instagram and TikTok and would only be accepting requests from people that she “personally” knew.
“This decision was made with consideration to the well-being of my own mental health as well as the overall wellbeing of my family and daughter,” Gypsy wrote in conclusion. “We are all doing very well and are in good spirits, excited for our futures moving forward. Thank you.”
The Louisiana native was thrust into the spotlight when she was arrested for her role in the death of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard in 2015. She conspired with her then-boyfriend, Nick Godejohn, to kill Dee Dee. Nick was the one who carried out the murder by stabbing Dee Dee to death while Gypsy hid in the bathroom.
Gypsy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder the following year and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. She served her time at the Chillicothe Correctional Center and was granted parole after eight years. In December 2023, Gypsy was released.
