Amazon Prime's TV adaptation of the classic 1999 film Cruel Intentions premieres today (November 21), and fans will be eager to know more about the cast playing a new generation of manipulative students at a prestigious school.

Among the main characters in the series is Sara Silva, who plays Celeste 'CeCe' Carroway. CeCe is the trusted aide of the show's conniving antagonist, Caroline Merteuil (Sarah Catherine Hook), and her character is loosely based on Cecile Caldwell from the original film, played by Selma Blair.

While the TV reboot promises a 'new chapter', it stays true to the essence of the nineties film, tracing the power dynamics between two scheming step-siblings in their school setting and the drastic lengths they go to retain control.

But what else is there to learn about the actress bringing CeCe to life in the new series? From her short stint on a popular TV show to her link with a music superstar, here's what you need to know.
