Lulu first has had an impressive music career which has spanned more than six decades.

She first managed to find fame when she released her version of Shout in 1964 before going on to win Eurovision with Boom Bang-a-Bang in 1969. Her most recent work includes being awarded a CBE in the 2021 birthday honours for services to music, entertainment and charity and appearing on The Masked Singer as Piece of Cake in 2023.

During her busy career, Lulu has been open about her love life which hasn't aways been smooth sailing. She has been married twice and also had some other high profile relationships too. Here's a look at Lulu's love life over the years:

Maurice Gibb

Lulu's first marriage was to Bee Gee's star Maurice Gibb. The pair married in 1969 but it only lasted a few years up until 1973.

They tied the knot in Gerrards Cross but their marriage went sour due to their demanding careers and Gibb's battle with alcoholism. They went on to divorce but were said to have remained good friends.

David Bowie

Lulu went on to have a brief romance with rockstar David Bowie after they met in a hotel in Sheffield in the 1970s. She said it was an "amazing" relationship but id didn't go the distance.

In her 2002 autobiography, Lulu said that she was put off by some of his partying habits. She wrote: "Has there ever been an odder couple? When he focused on me I felt like the only person in the room, in the universe, I found him intoxicating. It was the sexual chemistry which drew us together.

However, she said it was what she called his "druggy" lifestyle that ultimately put Lulu off. She said: "His scene at the time was very druggy and weird and I never felt very comfortable with it."

John Frieda

Hairdresser to the star John Frieda and Lulu got married in 1975 and she has since said that he was the love of her life. When they first met, John was an assistant at the salon Lulu went to but they soon hit it off.

Lulu said: "John came as a surprise to me because I wasn’t looking for him or anyone else. I was shattered after Maurice. I was nervous to take the plunge again."

Two months after they got married, Lulu found that she was pregnant with their son Jordan. They called time on their relationship in 1992 and Lulu said she found the breakup difficult. She said: "When my second marriage ended, it shocked my whole system. I was lost. I had no idea what I was going to do."

Jason Orange

One of the more surprising relationships Lulu has been in, is when she was with Take That's Jason orange. When she recorded 1993 single Relight My Fire with the band, she got on especially well with Jason.

Lulu who was then aged 44 and 23-year-old Jason had a rumoured fling but they continue to deny it. She claimed: "He’s very, very cute but no, nothing happened."

Angus Macfadyen

1997 saw Lulu get into a relationship with Angus Macfadyen who was 15 years younger than her. She has since said that it was the "best sex" she had ever had and that he "relit" her fire.

On a professional level, the two of them teamed up when Lulu wrote the soundtrack for the actor's film Robert the Bruce. When it launched, the singer said: "Angus and I had a relationship a few years ago. And we’re still really good friends."

Stuart and Lulu had quite a age gap

In 2002, Lulu went to Victoria and David Beckham's World Cup party with actor Stuart Manning. He was 21 at the time while she was 53.

She has never gone into the full extent of their relationship. However, at the time she said: "He is a lovely guy. But it’s just a bit of fun, nothing too serious. I like young guys and I also like men who are my own age - I don’t discriminate when it comes to age."
