iPhone 17 Air could be a replacement for the Plus variant – Leaks

The rumors related to the iPhone 17 series, specifically the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Air, are getting unstoppable. While the devices are going to launch next year, some key specifications of both devices have already surfaced online. According to a report published by Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong International Tech Research, Apple is gearing up to introduce a 48MP telephoto shooter in the iPhone 17 Pro lineup. The front sensor of the iPhone 17 Pro lineup will remain the same as its predecessor.

Apart from the sensors, the Apple iPhone 17 Pro devices will get 12GB RAM as compared to 8GB RAM on the current lineup. The increase in RAM is specifically for the better functioning of the AI features offered by Apple. Furthermore, we can also see a thinner dynamic island in the upcoming Pro variants. The iPhone 17 Pro will bring a 6.3-inch display and the Pro Max will carry a 6.9-inch display. Both the devices will most probably ship with the A19 Bionic processor based on a 3nm manufacturing process.

As for the iPhone 17 Air, it will most probably supersede the Plus variant from lineups. The phone will have a 6.6-inch display and 8GB RAM and it will run on the same A19 Bionic processor. Rumors have it that the device will also have Apple’s first in-house 5G modem. In terms of optics, we can get to see a 48MP primary shooter in the iPhone 17 Air. At the front, the smartphone may house a 24MP sensor for the sake of Facetime and selfies.
