Apple is planning to unveil its next flagship iPhone 17 Air in 2025. But several reports suggest that the upcoming iPhone 17 Air is facing some technical glitch which might make it thicker than the previous model. To recall, iPhone 16’s depth is 7.8mm and iPhone 17 Air or iPhone 17 Slim is anticipated to launch with reduced thickness as compared to its predecessors. However, recent reports suggest that the iPhone 17 Slim is facing some technical difficulties due to its battery.
What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
iPhone 17 Slim’s thinnest form factor is basically based on its battery’s thinner substrate, hence if the company is not able to bring out the battery with thinner layer, then we could possible not see the iPhone 17 Air as slim as the company claims. As per leaked reports, It was expected that the new substrate would be thinner and have more battery, but due to the failure to adopt the new material substrate, the industry predicted that the slim model would be around 6mm thick and have more battery.
