Shaniece Hairston is continuing to embrace the art of balance as she settles into her new norm, working alongside her mother at SG by Evelyn Lozada while navigating the joys and challenges of motherhood. Shaniece welcomed her first child in October with rapper The Game, and recently revealed that she gave birth to a boy.
Life & Style was the first to report the news in a video interview published via Instagram on Tuesday, November 19.
Shaniece, 31, opens up about motherhood with In Touch, sharing that she and her son are “major[ly] bonding.”
“I do not wanna leave him. I obviously make it to the gym or I’ve been making it to the gym, but that’s good for me, you know, and to come back to him,” the Basketball Wives alum exclusively tells In Touch. “But just major bonding, major skin to skin. If I leave him with my mom and I go to the gym, I’m like, ‘Is he OK? Did he eat? Did he sleep? Is he sleeping?’ You know, just it, when they tell you it’s like a love that you can’t describe and a journey.”
Getting back into a postpartum fitness routine was important for Shaniece, who gets trained by her coach, Linda, who also has kids and understands the process of a slow postpartum start to working out.
“She’s taking me through everything very slowly. She told me today, ‘We’re gonna start doing abs next week,’” Shaniece tells In Touch. “I’m like, ‘OK, good. Oh yeah. I’ve given my body time to heal. I didn’t want to go into working out too quickly, but I did. I missed having my body to myself.”
Shaniece announced her pregnancy via Instagram on June 16, writing, “Another trip around the sun and in my purest birthday suit yet.” In the photo, the reality star posed on a beach while wearing thin beige underwear. Although Shaniece was topless, her long, silky hair covered her exposed chest while cradling her baby bump.
Two days later, In Touch broke the news that The Game, 44, was the father of Shaniece’s first child, a second source revealed. The couple were first spotted in December 2023.
Although the “Hate It or Love It” rapper has yet to publicly confirm he is the father of the infant, he confirmed he was expecting his fourth child in August.
“I think about it in terms of, like, years. I’m 44, so when my new child is 21, I’ll be 65, right? That seems kinda old until you start thinking about who’s 65 now,” he said during an episode of the “Tacos & Shawarma” podcast. “They gotta be almost, like, their next big birthday is probably 60. They’re still out here looking young and cool, so it ain’t that bad.”
The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, shares daughter Cali and son King with ex Tiffney Cambridge. The entertainer also welcomed son Harlem with ex Aleska Jordan.
Two months later, Shaniece revealed that she gave birth by sharing a selfie without her baby bump. “Postpartum. Doing amazing and filled with so much love,” she wrote.
