Coleen Rooney has clarified rumours about her participation in the upcoming season of I'm A Celebrity. The mother-of-four, who is married to former Everton FC striker Wayne Rooney, confirmed she will be heading Down Under for the popular TV show.

The 38-year-old star is among the 10 celebrities announced for this season's line-up. Coleen took to Instagram to share her reasons for joining the ITV show and address speculations that she would be exempt from certain trials due to health issues.

She dismissed these rumours as false, stating: "There's been a lot of news saying I can't do trials because of certain illnesses, but I can confirm I can do every trial so I'm not excluded for any. That was just a load of rubbish."

The star expressed her excitement for the show, revealing that she had previously declined offers to participate due to her young children and other commitments. However, this year, she felt ready to take on the challenge, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Coleen added: "I've always said no and put it off because the kids have been young and I've had quite a lot on. But this year, I thought, I quite fancy doing it.

"I would like to experience something different, do something for myself, meet new people. I'm looking forward to doing the trials."

Coleen has admitted she's got the jitters about leaving her kids Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass behind, saying: "Don't get me wrong. I'm really anxious about leaving the kids. That's been my biggest thing. I've come to terms with it. I've planned and prepped.

"I've got an army of family and friends all helping out with the kids so they are going to be fine. They are probably going to have a great time while I'm away."
