The start of Danny Jones' I'm A Celebrity journey was marred by severe weather as a massive thunderstorm forced his flight to postpone its landing, with Brisbane airport forced to close.
The McFly frontman's plane, SQ245 from London, encountered tumultuous weather that led to the temporary shutdown of the runway. Announcements at the airport informed delayed passengers: "The runway is currently closed until the storm has passed."
Additionally, those already on the ground were told they would face hold-ups since baggage could not be unloaded. Caught up in the drama, Danny experienced significant turbulence and a bumpy arrival on Sunday reports the Daily Star.
Not flying solo, other I'm A Celebrity personalities such as reigning champion Sam Thompson and ex-contestant Joel Dommett joined him on the journey from Heathrow, both set to co-host an ITV2 spin-off show this year.
While rumours swirl about the full cast of the upcoming I'm A Celebrity series, TV buffs await ITV's official confirmation of the stars set to grace the jungle, expected any day now.
One reputed contestant is Coleen Rooney, 38, prominent for her roles as Wayne Rooney's other half and for her high-profile 'Wagatha Christie' court case against Rebekah Vardy over leaked private stories, as detailed by the Mirror.

N Dubz singer and former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos is speculated to be returning to the small screen on the show. Boxing legend Barry McGuigan is also expected to join the show, filling in as the sportsman in camp after Ally McCoist withdrew.
Bookies currently have McFly star Danny as the favourite to win. He previously won The Masked Singer and his McFly bandmate Dougie Poynter secured victory on the show back in 2011.
