ITV I'm A Celebrity fans distracted as they spot 'Hollywood star' in Bushtucker Trial

1 day ago 2

Fans of I'm A Celebrity were left bemused after they thought they spotted a 'Hollywood star' during the trial.

In today's episode, Dean confessed he was "freaking out" as he faced the series' second Bushtucker Trial as voted for by the public, The Sinister Sarcophagus, aiming to secure all 10 stars for his ravenous campmates who had spent a few days in the jungle.

Upon reaching the trial site, hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly introduced Dean to the mummy figurine within which he would be confined. To win stars, he had to correctly answer Egypt-themed questions, each correct answer giving him the opportunity to retrieve a star with his mouth within 30 seconds.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned - with sand beginning to fill the sarcophagus, immobilising his legs. Before attempting the trial, he remarked: "You're so extra this series, so extra!" and recalled: "I went to Egypt years ago, but I wasn't paying attention."

Dean acknowledged his fear, stating: "This is my worst nightmare because I can't get out."

After only two questions, the challenge proved too overwhelming for Dean, prompting him to exclaim the iconic phrase 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' Returning to camp with just two stars, Dean was disheartened to deliver the disappointing news.

Yet, it was the uncanny likeness of the sarcophagus to a Hollywood icon that really caught the viewers' attention, reports the Express.

One fan penned: "Did @imacelebrity get Nicolas Cage to pose for that sarcophagus statue? #ImACeleb," while another commented: "Am I the only one that thinks the sarcophagus face is Nicholas Cage? #ImACeleb."

Another follower remarked: "Nicholas Cage is the latest celebrity to enter the jungle #imaceleb #imacelebrity," and someone else observed: "That sarcophagus looks like Nicolas Cage #ImACeleb."

Another viewer noted: "The sarcophagus totally looks like Nicolas Cage. Spot the difference. #ImACeleb," as yet another jokingly queried: "Why does it look like Nicolas cage #ImACeleb."

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here airs every day at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
