The Masked Singer fans believe they've cracked the case of who's behind the Pufferfish costume, suggesting it could be the daughter of 90s music icon Neneh Cherry.
Pufferfish is one of seven remaining contestants on the hit ITV show, with five already unmasked. The new character joined the latest series alongside Bush, Dressed Crab, Bear, Kingfisher, Pegasus, Snail, Spag Bol, Tattoo, Teeth, Toad In The Hole and Wolf.
Joel Dommett hosts the show, with Davina McCall, Maya Jama, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross serving as panellists trying to guess the stars' identities.
So far in this series, Macy Gray was revealed as Toad In The Hole, Prue Leith was the voice behind Pegasus and GMB's Kate Garraway was unveiled as Spag Bol. Carol Decker was found to be Tattoo last week, while Mel Giedroyc was revealed as Teeth on Saturday night.
Amid speculation about Pufferfish's identity, one fan has provided an eight-clue list suggesting Mabel is the star behind the mask, reports the Mirror. They shared their theory on a Masked Singer forum, writing: "Mabel? Voice may fit."
They also noted that Mabel worked on Good Luck, Babe!, by Chappell Roan, a song performed by Pufferfish, and that the character said "good luck" on the show.
"She's written for Four of Diamonds, hence, sparkling clue," the fan theorised. "Has a BRIT award and performed at the BRITs. Very musical family, her mum is Neneh Cherry. Worked with 2 acts with 5 then 6 letters in their names like Harry Styles and Clean Bandit."
The fan continued: "There seem to be Mabel pumps from Sarah Jessica Parker," pointing out that the actress's initials were on a sign. They further noted: "There seems to be a game called Reverse Falls with a character called Mabel Gleeful."

They conceded: "Some of that may be a stretch! " Mabel comes from a strong musical lineage - her mother Neneh was in post-punk band The Slits, and her father Cameron McVey is a producer known for his work with Sugababes and All Saints.
Meanwhile, Eagle Eye Cherry, an artist famed for the song 'Save Tonight' and relative to Mabel, featured in the popular Ashton Kutcher romantic comedy 'A Lot Like Love'.
Other anticipated contenders mentioned by fans are EastEnders actresses Shona McGarty (Whitney Dean) and Jacqueline Jossa (Lauren Branning), along with West End sensation Samantha Barks, who also had a stint on the soap.
Speculations have also included Nadine Coyle, former member of the pop ensemble Girls Aloud. The Derry-born star could be following the path of her bandmate Nicola Roberts, who was crowned the winner of the inaugural series of The Masked Singer in 2020, where she was revealed as Queen Bee.
Another member of Girls Aloud, Kimberley Walsh, also made an appearance on the show's spin-off, The Masked Dancer, as Odd Socks in 2022.
