The Chase star Anne Hegerty was once linked to a mystery man named Jake Hester on her Wikipedia page, which stated the pair are married.
The Chase star Anne Hegerty, better known as The Governess on the ITV game show, was forced to clarify the mix-up regarding her supposed "husband" Jake Hester after insisting she doesn't know who he is.
The TV star was linked to her phantom spouse on her Wikipedia page, which she appeared to find humour in despite having her fair share of challenges in her personal life and struggling with romantic relationships due to her autism diagnosis at 45.
Detailing the odd occurrence from her time in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2018, Anne shared: "I used to go into my page to change things like where I was born and my hometown, but I've stopped bothering now.
"It still claims I'm married to someone called Jake Hester! I seriously don't know who he is."
Speaking to the Express, Anne expressed both amusement and annoyance at the situation, saying: "He's out there somewhere. My brother didn't help because he said to me, 'I want to meet this guy'. I'm like, 'No! This is not somebody I know.'"
Anne also considered the existence of Jake Hester, theorising to us: "I imagine he exists. It's too odd a name to makeup. I imagine he exists and he's out there somewhere. Either he vandalised the page or somebody he knows did."
Presently, the personal life section on her Wikipedia merely states: "Hegerty lives in Manchester. She is a practising Catholic. She is autistic, which was not diagnosed until 2003 when she was 45."

She appeared on ITV's DNA Journey in 2022, discovering her Irish and Scottish heritage, and her ancestral ties to Robert the Bruce and Queen Elizabeth II were revealed. Her most enduring romance lasted a mere four months, mainly due to the distance between her Manchester home and her then-boyfriend's residence in Brighton.
She confessed: "He was a lovely bloke but I am just not good with the sort of amount of attention that people need."
In an interview with OK! magazine, she shared: "I fall in love with historical or fictional characters. People I can put a bit of distance between."
