Ivanka Trump‘s low-key support for Donald Trump‘s presidential campaign and eventual win was her own doing. She let the world know that she and Jared Kushner were focused on raising their three kids out of the political arena. Many supporters believed that Tiffany Trump would step in as the heir apparent, but the baton was passed to someone else in the Trump family.
“[Ivanka] is perfectly fine handing the reins to Lara [Trump] this time around. Not her circus, not her monkeys,” a source told the Daily Mail. Lara is the wife of Ivanka’s younger brother, Eric Trump, and is also the co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC). She was often seen on Fox News praising her father-in-law and criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris during her campaign.

Lara is being touted as an “underrated political success story” because people doubted her qualifications when she took over at the RNC. “The job of the RNC leadership is to recruit the best and brightest candidates, support and shepherd their campaigns and—drumroll—win the presidency and both houses of Congress,” GOP communications specialist T.J. McCormack told Newsweek. “So, on a pragmatic, definitive basis alone, Lara Trump has done her job with flying colors. Any remaining critics of Lara Trump as co-chair of the RNC will likely be professional contrarians or shrill never-Trumpers.”
She was a big champion of fundraising when she came into the role in March. “The fundraising is going through the roof… we were not doing very well before in that. The change in leadership has made all the difference,” Michele Merrell, Republican state committeewoman for Broward County, Florida explained to the BBC in July. “It’s reignited the party, it really has.”
Ivanka wasn’t going to have that same enthusiasm for any role in her father’s campaign — she felt burned by her time in Washington, D.C. She was very clear in her July interview with Lex Fridman that her children deserved a better childhood. “I’m not willing to make them bear that cost,” she said ominously. But for someone like Tiffany, who reportedly desired the “First Daughter” role, she’s left out in the cold again.
“Tiffany was barely seen or heard from during Donald’s years in the White House — but she’s angling herself to be a major player if he regains the office,” a RadarOnline insider divulged in 2023. With Donald Trump spilling the beans on her reported pregnancy with husband Michael Boulos, it looks like Tiffany saw the writing on the wall — she took a different life path when Lara swooped into her spot.
