Jake Quickenden welcomes second baby as he shares adorable first snaps and unusual name

I'm A Celebrity's Jake Quickenden has welcomed his second child with wife Sophie and shared adorable snaps of his baby boy along with announcing his sweet name

Jake Quickenden has welcomed a baby boy with his wife Sophie as they shared his first photos.

The I'm A Celebrity star, 36, revealed they were expecting their second child back in July with a sweet video and gender reveal. He has announced their baby's arrival by sharing the exciting news with his followers. Jake announced: "Welcome to world little one. Kit Quickenden 6lb 13oz. Born 08/01/25 - As a dad I just want to say Sophie was incredible, thank you for delivering Kit and being so amazing."

The couple have been flooded with messages as Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri said: "Huge congratulations!!” Daisy Wood David added: “Congratulations you guys!! Same birth weight as Ari he looks gorgeous xx." Charlotte Dawson commented: “Congratulations guys, he’s so beautiful and Sophie you look insane!!!”

Jake and Sophie married in 2022 after four years of dating. They already have son Leo, three, as well as Freddie, 10, who is Sophie's son from a previous relationship. Announcing their pregnancy news in July, Jake said: "WE HAVE NEWS…. soon to be five. We can finally let you know after a long time trying we are gonna bring another bundle of joy into the world. We are super excited. Can’t wait to live off 2 hours sleep again. Have a lovely Sunday."

In an adorable montage video, the TV personality and his wife can be seen breaking the news to family and telling their children Leo, and Sophie's son Freddie. The final clip sees them ready to plunge champagne flutes into a cake in what is presumably a gender reveal, but it cuts off before showing the colour of the inside.

Before welcoming Kit, Jake opened up on their name choices. He told OK!: "We've got two in the running I'm not going to give them away just yet. I don't want to say them, and then we might totally change our minds. I prefer one, and Soph likes the other, so I think we're going to wait until he's born, have a look at him, see what he looks like. I'm sure it will cause World War Three when we each want to go with a different name."

However, they were certain on the middle name. Jake's dad died in 2009 to myeloma, and the grief struck again when his brother Oliver died of bone cancer at just 19 in 2013. He made sure to carry on their legacy as Jake said: "Leo's middle name is Oliver, after my little brother, and the new baby's middle name is going to be Paul after my dad."

Jake previously opened up about becoming a dad, revealing that he and Sophie were planning on adding more members to their family. He told the Daily Star: "We are trying for another one. It is the easiest decision ever. We definitely want one more. Our family already feels complete, but we’d love one more. We would love a little girl. That would be the icing on the cake. But as long as the baby was healthy, that’s all that matters. Whatever we had, we’d be happy."
