Actress Jamie Lee Curtis shared a video to her Instagram page showing the devastating aftermath of the California wildfire on January 8, while writing, “Our beloved neighborhood is gone.”

But she revealed that her own home “is safe.”

“Our beloved neighborhood is gone. Our home is safe. So many others have lost everything. Help where you can. Thank you to the first responders and firefighters. @americanredcross,” Curtis wrote on Instagram.

In an earlier post, Curtis had shared that she did not know if her home was still standing.

Jamie Lee Curtis Wrote That the Wildfire Was ‘Particularly Shocking’

In a post about eight hours before the update, Curtis shared, “My community and possibly my home is on fire. My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well. There are so many conflicting reports.”

She added: “With all the technology there seems to be very little information. PLEASE POST FACTS! IT WILL HELP THOSE WONDERING! It is a terrifying situation and I’m grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze.”

Continued Curtis: “Neighbors have taken care of neighbors. We ALL take everything for granted because we are all living our lives but when it hits your community, it’s particularly shocking. Life on life’s terms. If ever there was need for the use of the phrase MY HAND IN YOURS, it is right now. Take care of each other. Stay out of the way and let the firefighters do their work. Pray if you believe in it and even if you don’t, pray for those who do. @ethanswopephoto.”

Other Celebrities Also Suffered Losses & Thanked First Responders & Firefighters

Curtis was not alone. Khloe Kardashian also shared a video showing the devastating aftermath of the blaze and wrote on her Instagram story that firefighters and first responders were the “true heroes.”

Her mom Kris Jenner also thanked the firefighters and first responders.

Los Angeles Lakers Head Coach JJ Redick revealed that his family was evacuated from Pacific Palisades.

Former Hallmark star Cameron Mathison shared a video that showed the complete destruction of his home.

Actor Ben Affleck was spotted racing to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home, according to TMZ.

Actor James Woods wrote on X, “To all the wonderful people who’ve reached out to us, thank you for being so concerned. Just letting you know that we were able to evacuate successfully. I do not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not.” He later reported that all of the smoke detectors were going off in his home.

Woods later emotionally told CNN that his home was destroyed, saying, “One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone.”
