'Murder, She Wrote' was on the air between 1984 and 1996 for no less than 12 seasons, with up to 41 Emmy Award nominations, although it barely managed to win two. At the moment, this film adaptation has not revealed more details, although it is expected to be as faithful as the series

What is 'Murder, She Wrote' about?

The fiction followed the steps of Jessica Fletcher, a retired teacher who sets out to write mystery novels and, thanks to this, she realizes her great gift for analyzing and solving all kinds of events. Thus, Fletcher ends up becoming a great researcher who gets to catch dozens of murderers throughout all the episodes of the series.

In 2013 there was already an attempt to rescue 'Murder, She Wrote', but Lansbury's harsh criticism scuppered everything: "I think it's a mistake to call it 'Murder, She Wrote' because the series will always be about Cabot Cove and its wonderful group of people who tell those lovely stories and enjoyed a piece of that place and also enjoyed Jessica Fletcher, who is a very unusual and individual kind of person. So I'm sorry that they have to use the title 'Murder, She Wrote', although they have every right to it and it's their right."
