Jenelle Evans Made Almost $50K in 2 Months After Her ‘Teen Mom’ Return: See Her Net Worth

2 weeks ago 5

Jenelle Evans has had to get creative when it comes to making money after getting fired from the Teen Mom franchise in 2019. From OnlyFans to Tiktok, the former MTV star takes home a pretty penny from content creation, with her net worth only continuing to grow after returning to Teen Mom in 2024 following her split from David Eason.

What Is Jenelle Evans’ Net Worth?

As of 2024, Jenelle has a net worth of $30,000 according to Celebrity Net Worth.

How Much Was Jenelle Evans Paid for ‘Teen Mom 2’?

Jenelle said during “Jared and Katie in the Morning” on 17.5 KZL in 2015 that she’s made around half a million dollars off the series.

“I wouldn’t really say that [I’ve made a million dollars],” she said at the time. “I would say a little bit over maybe half [a million]? I’m not really allowed to discuss it.”

According to Star at the time, “Jenelle gets paid $75,000 a year, and her mom gets paid $65,000: she calls her an overpaid babysitter. She also gets a lot of gift cards to places like The Olive Garden from MTV as a bonus payment.”

How Has Jenelle Evans Tried to Make Money After ‘Teen Mom 2’?

Jenelle tried her hand at running a beauty company when she launched the Je Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow Kit in September 2019. “I’m just really happy that I can come out with something that can be universal for everyone,” the former MTV star told Us Weekly at the time, adding, “They don’t have to go match their shade. They can just by one kit and be done with it — and have everything they need.”

She said she came up with the idea while working on her own eyebrows. “I was trying to groom my eyebrows and I knew that I used the pencil a lot. [But I] sometimes used powder and then I had to go get wax for it. And I was like, why didn’t someone just put this all in one kit? Then I wouldn’t need to go searching for it!” she told the publication.

The company went out of business in 2021 and Jenelle said at the time she wanted to “focus on monetizing” her “social media channels.” She has 3.1 million Instagram followers and 3 million TikTok followers and has promoted such products as menstrual underwear.

Jenelle tried her hand at podcasting but only produced three episodes between July 2021 and January 2022.

Aside from her entrepreneurial pursuits, the former reality TV star earns a paycheck creating content on OnlyFans. Fans can subscribe to Jenelle’s content for a fee of $20 per month.

What Type of Financial Problems Has Jenelle Evans Dealt With?

Jenelle and her estranged husband, David Eason, were hit with an outstanding North Carolina state tax lien in the sum of $46,406.00 from 2020. The pair still owe the bill nearly four years after its initial filing.

David also caused Jenelle to lose her job on Teen Mom 2 in May 2019 after he shot and killed her dog, Nugget. He had been fired from the show in February 2018 after posting homophobic statements online. After that, production for Jenelle’s storylines became quite difficult as the crews couldn’t film at Jenelle and David’s home due to his presence. The couple share a daughter, Ensley, who was born in January 2017. Jenelle later returned to the MTV franchise after filing for separation from David in March 2024.

Jenelle has also battled her mom, Barbara Evans, over custody of son Jace, whom her mother raised since he was born in 2009. Despite lengthy court appearances and likely a good sum in legal fees, Jenelle finally got custody of Jace in March 2023, telling Us Weekly, “My mom and I decided together to grant full custody back to me because we want to build our relationship back as mother and daughter.”

Why Is Jenelle Evans Under a CPS Investigation?

Jenelle was the subject of a Child Protective Services investigation after Jace was checked into a hospital, following his third reported runaway, In Touch exclusively confirmed on October 2, 2023.

“CPS got involved when Jace was checked into [the] hospital,” Jenelle’s manager exclusively confirmed to In Touch. “Jace is still in the hospital yes, they are doing a mental health evaluation.”

Jace — whom Janelle shares with ex Andrew Lewis — left school without telling anyone in August and was later found in the woods the same day. Weeks later, he ran away from Jenelle and David’s home before later being found at a gas station a few miles away.  On his third runaway attempt, climbed out of his bedroom window on September 28, 2023, and was found the next day, although he was not returned to Jenelle’s home.

After the third attempt, the teen went back to living with his grandmother, Barbara Evans, who had custody of him before parental control was transferred to his mother in March 2023. There, he allegedly told Barbara that David had assaulted him.

After visible marks were found on Jace’s arm and neck, David was charged with misdemeanor child abuse on October 26, 2023, according to legal documents obtained by In Touch. The documents also claimed that Jace’s injuries were not inflicted by “accidental means.”

Jace’s runaway attempts continued while in the care of Barbara and he was later placed in the care of CPS in November 2023.

Months later, David was indicted on child abuse charges during a hearing on January 10, 2024. “They found enough evidence to take his case out of district court, where misdemeanors are held, and bring it to superior,” a court clerk confirmed to In Touch at the time.

At the time, a source told The U.S. Sun that Jenelle and David were said to be in a “financial crisis” as their legal bills were “piling up” fighting the custody case against Child Protective Services, while also battling David’s child abuse charges.

“There is no discernable steady income coming into the house beyond the clickbait Jenelle does, and her OnlyFans account, which she keeps up with sporadically at best,” a source told the publication of the MTV star’s income, claiming the couple is “terrible” with money. “They go on pricey trips with — and without — the kids, and they sink money on their always-breaking, expensive toys, like the boat and their ATV.”

CPS dropped its case against Jenelle and David in February 2024, with the 16 & Pregnant alum explaining that “CPS took a voluntary dismissal.”

“I wasn’t going to share this information. I was actually gonna keep it private and just kind of give a vague statement,” Jenelle told her followers. “But right now, I need to control the narrative now that this case has been dropped. I’m focusing on Jace’s mental health and I want to focus solely on his mental health right now.”

The case is ongoing as Jace reportedly planned to take the stand against David, according to a report from The U.S. Sun on May 9, 2024.

“Jace is adamant about going to testify. He can’t wait to take the stand, he hates David,” a source told the outlet.
