Jennifer Lawrence is going to be a mum again as it’s revealed the star is expecting her second child.
The No Hard Feelings actress, 34, and her husband, Cooke Maroney, 40, tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in 2019 and went on to welcome their first child, Cy, in February 2022.
Their son’s unique name is inspired by her gallerist husband’s favourite artist, post-war American painter Cy Twombly.
Choosing to keep their child largely out of the spotlight, it has been revealed that the family of three are about to become a family of four.
Vogue confirmed the news on their Instagram account this afternoon.
‘Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence! The Oscar-winning actor will be welcoming her second child with art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney, a representative has confirmed to Vogue,’ the post read.
Jennifer was spotted out for dinner in Los Angeles last night wearing a tight white T-shirt that appeared to show the beginnings of a baby bump.
Metro.co.uk has approached the Oscar winner’s representatives for comment.
Jennifer has previously spoken about her fierce desire to protect her son from her life in the spotlight, telling Interview Magazine in June 2023 that she does her best.
Speaking with actress Cameron Diaz, 51, about their children and paparazzi, the star said: ‘I was so nervous when I was pregnant. I was getting paparazzi’d, and I was just like, “How the f**k am I not going to lose it on these guys when they’re taking a picture of my baby?”‘
‘Then once he was here, I realised that my energy is more important to him than anything else,’ she said. ‘So if he feels that I’m anxious before I leave the house, or I’m angry when we’re outside, that’s going to impact him.’
‘So it’s actually done the opposite, where I’ve gotten a little bit more zen and a little bit more relaxed with getting photographed because I don’t have a choice.’
She continued to say she has since learned to ‘take a deep breath’ and not let her son feel her anxiety or anger.
Jennifer also called her husband, ‘the greatest father in the entire world.’
The Hunger Games actress has previously opened up about her journey to motherhood, admitting to American Vogue the year of her son’s birth that she had previously suffered two miscarriages.
‘I had a miscarriage alone in Montreal,’ she told the publication.
Jennifer said she miscarried again while filming Don’t Look Up and was forced to undergo a surgical procedure to remove tissue from her uterus.
