Jennifer Lopez addressed the Ben Affleck situation as the reason for canceling her tour

The year 2024 could turn out to be one of the most challenging years Jennifer Lopez has faced since entering the entertainment industry. Her divorce from Ben Affleck has taken a greater toll on her than expected, leading to the cancellation of her tour in summer and sparking numerous accusations from various media outlets.

Jennifer was deeply invested in her "This Is Me...Live" tour, but reportedly, low ticket sales and the strain in her marriage with Ben Affleck at the time were key factors in her decision to cancel the shows.

"You know, I decided to take the summer off and be home with the kids, and it was the best thing I think I've ever done. It's not like me to do that and I always-when it comes up, I like to apologize to the fans because I know a lot of them were coming out."

The Let's Get Loud singer was originally set to begin her tour on June 26. However, in late May, she sent a heartfelt message through her On The JLo newsletter announcing its cancellation.

At the time, she addressed her fans directly:

"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you, and we will all be together again," she wrote.

When the tour was called off, no one could have predicted that issues in her marriage would eventually lead to their divorce. Now, as details of their separation emerge, the headlines are flooded with stories of how both Jennifer and Ben are adjusting to this new phase of their lives.
