Jennifer Lopez Posts a Heartwarming Video Collage Dedicated to her Kids

Jennifer Lopez is looking back on the past two decades with love as her kids, Max and Emme, celebrate their 17th birthday, Page Six reported. The singer and actress posted a sweet tribute to the tune of Miley Cyrus’s cover of “Edge of Midnight,” along with snippets of the threesome watching movies, posing for photo shoots, cooking, sleeping, and just making memories to cherish. As her babies get closer to leaving the nest, it’s clear that Lopez is feeling all the feels.

Lopez’s Family Helps Keep Her Grounded

Despite being a high-profile celebrity, Lopez does not often showcase her children on her social media pages. 2024 was the exception, with Lopez posting touching posts and videos for her children’s 16th birthdays, shortly after her birthday, and then on Christmas Day. The uptick in posts isn’t surprising, considering her turbulent year as she and Ben Affleck’s marriage ended. For Lopez, spending time with her family and a lot of self-examination were precisely what she needed.

“I just needed to be with my kids and myself and really dig down deep into things that were happening in my life,” she told comedian Nikki Glaser for Interview. “And I’m glad I did, because it was a really difficult time for me. Probably the hardest time of my life, but it was also the best time because I got to do that work on myself.”

Lopez Looks at 2025 as the Year to Push Boundaries

In November 2024, she told People her intentions for the new year included “making sure we’re checking with ourselves so we can be great for everybody that we love around us. I’m also setting my sights on pushing my boundaries creatively and seeing where that takes me,” Lopez went on. “Whether that’s through acting or music or producing or expanding JLo Beauty. I want to continue challenging myself to evolve and to try new things while all the while being true to who I am and those that I love.”

Lopez initially told ET in February 2024 that she was considering retiring after making “This is Me… Now.” But the album didn’t even break the top 20 on the Billboard Top 200, and the trajectory of her life has drastically changed since then. It makes sense that she’s determined to make 2025 exactly what she wants, and one of the big things Lopez wants is a big dance hit. “Her priority [career-wise] is music,” a source told Page Six. There is no point in her going into it unless it’s big, and critics say it’s the old Lopez. She needs a big banger.”
