Jo Wenberg revealed she “said no” to Vanderpump Rules’ spinoff The Valley, but she was set to film for season 12 of the original show before its entire cast was fired. She also addressed misconceptions about how she joined, and she seemingly asked her ex Tom Schwartz to “unblock” her.
Last season, Schwartz introduced Jo as his “friend,” but she later explained that he hid their romance from the cameras. During filming, Tom’s ex Katie Maloney continually called her names, including a “rat girl.” In one cryptic scene, Tom seemingly broke off their relationship.
“I said no to The Valley,” revealed Jo in an Instagram video, via @vanderpodrecaps. “I know Lala, Scheana, and Schwartzie are going to be going to The Valley.”
She also wanted to “clear up some things.”
“I did not want to be on the TV show [Pump Rules],” said Jo, via @coccamacocca on Instagram. “I was only signed on for, like, two scenes. And then I got dumped on national television.”
“So I just think that like, at the end of the day, I hope that I’m obviously very relatable,” she went on. “Yeah, maybe some people will go to The Valley. I will not.”
Jo then was asked if she would have been on season 12 if the cast was asked back.
“Yeah, that was about to happen,” she said.
The star also addressed her status with Schwartz.
“Let’s start a petition for Tom Schwartz to unblock me so him and I can just, like, shoot the s**t again,” Jo expressed. “He’s just got … Yeah, it’d be nice. But anyways and unfortunately, you guys had to see that on national television. Unbeknownst to me. So f**k off if you think that it’s real easy to get over somebody that dumped you at international television.”
Jo also addressed how she was “lied to” and “called all the names.”
She shared that production asked if she wanted to “glam,” and she responded, “What the hell is glam?”
“And they were like, ‘Do you want makeup?'” she added. “And I was like, ‘Yeah.’ [They said,] ‘Well do you have makeup?’ I was like, ‘Nope.'”
