Joe Exotic and the Tiger King series saw me through the COVID-19 pandemic. I tuned in because I am a native of Tampa. Throughout my childhood, I had one field trip I could always count on taking: The Big Cat Rescue, owned by Carole Baskin. Joe hates Carole, but not as much as he hates his time spent in the clink. But have no fear, cool cats and kittens, as Joe just wrote a letter to President-Elect, Donald Trump. In this letter, Joe requested a pardon, and if freed, he is willing to serve in our Nation’s cabinet, so, yay.
In this timeline, I would not rule anything out.

WFLA News Channel 8, my local news channel, checked in with Joe a few months ago. Joe still loathes two things: prison and Carole. But his hopes remain high. In his mind, his 21-year sentence is about to get cut short. Soon, he will be released back into the wild, or so he hopes.
As long as his man Donny T. pulls up with an assist, that is. The newly engaged (again) Joe wrote him a letter not too long ago from jail, begging for his release while pitching himself as a possible new cabinet member on Trump’s staff. RadarOnline shared the details of this letter. To start, Joe kicked his note off with a nod to the events that transpired on January 6, 2021, which, ugh.
“A lot of people went to bat for you in 2021 who have been living in hell ever since. Everyone hopes you keep the promises you made during your campaign, which include pardoning everyone sooner [rather] than later in January 2025,” Joe began.
Furthermore, Joe also asked to be a part of Trump’s cabinet. As for his position, he wants to serve as the new Federal Fish and Wildlife Director. “It is time to bring some honesty to this department because the former director, Dan Ash, only looked out for himself and his position within the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. He used his federal position to put me out of business and in prison to benefit his non-profit, the AZA,” Joe explained.
