Joe Lycett has updated fans on his experience as a father - after stunning the world when he revealed he had welcomed a son last month.
The 36-year-old comedian has famously kept aspects of his personal life out of the spotlight - rarely speaking about his romantic or home lives. But in recent weeks, he revealed he has been enjoying a relationship with someone who he referred only to as 'Denise', which he heavily hinted is not her real name.
Now that he is a father, however, the star appears to be bringing down the walls that usually separate his private and professional lives in order to share more information about his new family. The star has a newsletter which he sends out to keep fans updated on his latest activities - and the most recent bulletin included details about his experience with fatherhood.
He concluded his update by writing: "I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has been so lovely about my news (you may have seen on instagram or in the press that I have just welcomed a son).... I’m finding fatherhood to be a total delight."

He explained: "And to confirm, he’s defo not a stunt (although I appreciate I’ve cried wolf enough that might not be convincing) and as promised I will be appearing on the _Parenting Hell_podcast in the near future."
Joe blindsisded fans when he took to Instagram last month to share a photograph of himself holding a tiny baby close to his chest. With the pair of them wrapped up for an outdoor shoot, he revealed the kid was indeed his son.
He wrote: "An appreciation post from me for the extraordinary @bham_womens hospital. My first encounter with them was years ago when they looked after a pal of mine through surgery, and then most recently when they masterfully welcomed a little boy into the world, who happens to be my son.

"The care and compassion his mum and he received was exceptional; from the antenatal classes, incredible midwives, consultants, doctors, nurses and the ongoing care in the community. We also loved their baked potatoes. Birmingham is so lucky to have them and I will be forever grateful for everything they’ve done."
He then added: "I am LOVING being a dad but sadly I think this now means I can’t get out of going on Rob and Josh’s fucking podcast. We will not be taking any press requests about this as we have already sold the rights to the first family picture to Autotrader."
While fans rushed to congratulate him on the news, many feared he was pulling their leg, with one writing in response: "I'm just worried this will come out as him cuddling a bunch of rhubarb in a hat tbh."
