John Lennon's wife Yoko Ono reportedly overheard him have 'loud and raucous' sex with another woman at a party.
According to a new memoir, We All Shine On: John, Yoko, and Me, the Japanese artist was sitting in 'mortified silence' while John was with the other woman. The memoir, written by the couple's close pal Elliot Mintz, detailed the embarrassing moment that happened at a 'small party'.
John and Yoko had first met in November 1966 at a gallery in London where she was preparing her art exhibition. She began calling him and visiting him at his home while he was still married to first wife Cynthia Powell. He ended up having an affair with Yoko, with Cynthia finding out when she came home and found her wearing her bathrobe and drinking tea with John.
John and Yoko went on to ty the knot in 1969. According to the memoir, Yoko wanted to quickly leave the party when she overheard him having sex with someone else but soo realised her coat was in the bedroom John was in. Media consultant Elliot, 79, wrote: "Throughout it all, Yoko sat on the sofa, in stunned, mortified silence, as other guests began awkwardly getting up to leave — until they realised that their coats were in the bedroom where John was having sex."

"Yoko is a very stoic woman, but it would have severe consequences," Elliot claimed that the incident happened at a New York City party where the group were watching the 1972 presidential election results. It's claimed the Beatles singer slept with the random woman after getting inebriated and upset about Richard Nixon's potential win.
John had to sleep on the sofa that night as punishment, Elliot said, with him claiming that Yoko told him that she forgave John for cheating but didn't know whether she could 'ever forget'.
The Imagine singer and Yoko tied the knot in March 1969, with the two staying together up until he was murdered by an obsessed fan named Mark David Chapman. He was killed outside his home in New York as a devastated Yoko watched on. John shares one son, Sean with Yoko, and a son named Julian, with first wife Cynthia.
