Josh Duggar has been seen in prison for the first time since 2022.

The 36-year-old, known for the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting, is currently serving nearly a 13-year prison sentence on child pornography charges. His earliest release date is October 2, 2032.

In photos obtained by The U.S. Sun published on Monday, December 2, Josh could be seen walking on the outdoor track in the prison yard at Federal Correction Institute Seagoville in Texas on Friday, November 22. Josh's expression was neutral as he wore a brown shirt, shorts, and sunglasses and sported a mustache and beard a change from his clean-shaven look.

The pictures of Josh were taken a few days before Thanksgiving. According to the outlet, prisoners celebrated the holiday with a meal consisting of "turkey, glazed ham, cornbread dressing with turkey gravy, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and two rolls."

The eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar first came under fire in 2015 after multiple girls, including some of his sisters, claimed he molested them when he was a teenager. Josh took to Facebook in May 2015, writing, "Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret."

A few years later, in April 2021, Josh was arrested in Arkansas on charges of receiving and possessing child pornography. Despite his pleading not guilty, in December 2021, the court found him guilty of the child pornography charges, and he was sentenced in May 2022.

Josh has made many appeal attempts in his case — all of which have been shut down. First, in January 2022, Josh's lawyer filed for an acquittal, which was rejected. Then, in June 2022, Josh's appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit was shot down. Most recently, in June 2024, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Josh's attorney Justin Gelfand's appeal.

The now-disgraced TV personality's wife, Anna Duggar, has stuck by her husband's side throughout his legal troubles. The pair married in 2008 and share seven kids: Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, Mason, Maryella, and Madyson. The couple's youngest child was born in November 2021, about seven months after Josh's child pornography arrest.
