Puerto Rican duo Jowell y Randy have been dropping reggaeton anthems ever since their debut over two decades ago and are back to start the holiday party season with their new album Mazorkeo.com, which was released this past Friday.
Their new album features production from Tainy and bars from the rapper Myke Towers on the track “Sin Panty Maria.”
“I’m 30 years old, back in the day when I was 15 years old Jowell & Randy were on top," Myke said, while reflecting on the duo and his work on the track. "When I started to go out and now being able to work with them I feel like it's the perfect time to make a song that’s going to be playing in clubs everywhere.”
The lyrics of Mazorkeo.com, aimed at an adult audience, are about their admiration for women with expressions filled with sensuality, celebrations of flirtation, and empowerment.
Jowell y Randy have undoubtedly been the leaders and vehicle to kickstart Perreo, the way reggaeton is danced, whenever the genre feels like it's been lacking.
“We are very happy to bring you these songs so that you can continue to understand that Jowell & Randy are the hardest artists when it comes to Perreo,” said Jowell.
“We're putting our all again into making Perreo, with music for chilling, pure dancing,” Randy added.
The iconic duo's success story in 2024 continues with their concerts on December 12, 13, 14, 15, 20, and 21 at the emblematic José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum of Puerto Rico where the performers are preparing to put on a slate of memorable shows and once again impress their fans with their authentic presence on stage and special advanced three-dimensional technology throughout.
