Hulk Hogan’s son, Nick Hogan, scored in court after a Florida judge terminated his probation six months early, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court records obtained by In Touch, on Friday, December 20, a Pinellas County judge signed off on Nick’s plea to close his DUI case before the scheduled deadline.
The decision brings an end to Nick’s criminal case and will free him from restrictions placed upon him as part of his sentence.
As In Touch previously reported, Nick, 34, was arrested for a DUI in Clearwater, Florida, in November 2023. He was taken into custody around 4 a.m.
Law enforcement accused Nick of refusing to submit to a breath test for officers, TMZ reported.
According to a local report, Nick could be seen telling police they smelled alcohol on him because he had kissed his girlfriend. “Is that what you’re going to go with?” the officer could be heard telling Nick.
The police reportedly claimed Nick smelled of alcohol and had “bloodshot” and “glassy” eyes, according to Daily Mail.
Nick’s actress girlfriend, Tana Lea, was seen in the bodycam footage defending her boyfriend. In footage from the scene, Hulk was also seen arriving to talk to police before Nick was taken into custody.
Hulk’s son was booked on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.
Hours before the arrest, Nick was filmed DJing at Hulk’s restaurant for a bikini contest.
Nick has a history of legal trouble around his driving. Back in 2007, Hulk’s son was involved in a car accident that left his passenger, then 22-year-old John Graziano, severely injured.
He suffered brain damage, and his mother has had to care for him ever since. John was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time. Nick was accused of speeding in his Toyota Supra, but he denied the accusation.
Nick was hit with charges over the crash. He eventually entered a plea of no contest and was sentenced to eight months in jail. The judge ordered him to serve five years of probation, complete 500 hours of community service and had his driver’s license suspended for three years.
In 2010, Hulk settled a lawsuit filed by John’s family. The terms of the settlement were confidential. The deal was intended to cover John’s long-term medical care.
At the time, John’s mom said her son could not speak but could respond to requests from family members.
After his DUI arrest, John’s mom spoke out about Nick’s behavior. John’s mom told TMZ that the arrest showed Nick had a “total lack of respect for what (he) did to another person’s life and you’re still driving reckless.”
She added, “I can only pray that at some point in his life, while he still has the chance, that he turns his life around. Until then I hope no one else gets hurt.”
John’s mom continued, “I grieve the virtual loss of my son on a daily basis. I thank God daily that at least I have John here with us at home.”
