Justin and Hailey Bieber celebrated son Jack’s first Halloween with a family costume inspired by the animated Disney series Kim Possible. Hailey, 28, transformed into the titular world-saving teen; Justin, 30, wore the getup of sidekick Ron Stoppable; and their 3-month-old dressed as pet mole-rat Rufus.
While the Biebers shared fun pictures of their looks on social media, it wasn’t clear where the photos were taken — and it didn’t appear Justin actually went trick-or-treating or attended any festive gatherings on October 31. “Justin hardly ever gets out. Everyone thought his lack of socializing was because he was embracing being a dad, but now those close to him are concerned it’s a deeper issue,” an insider tells In Touch, noting the pop star also hasn’t released an album since 2021 and last toured in 2022. “He seems to be more troubled than ever.”
In the past, the “Love Yourself” singer opened up about battling with depression and suicidal ideation. Though he received help to work through those dark moments, recent events — including a potential lawsuit over his $300 million fortune — “are really bothering him lately. He seems to be regressing,” warns the insider. “When he experiences low lows, Justin disappears sometimes. Some in his immediate circle are worried.”
Since August, there have been a lot of major developments in Justin’s life. Mere weeks after Hailey gave birth to their first child, former mentor Sean “Diddy” Combs — who took Justin under his wing as a young, up-and-coming music artist — was arrested for alleged sex trafficking and racketeering. While the rapper, 56, has pleaded not guilty to the charges, “Justin’s been shaken by the whole scandal,” says the insider.
A previous source told In Touch that the singer has “shut himself off from the world” amid his former mentor’s legal drama. “It’s like he’s fallen off the map since Diddy’s arrest and all the sick details coming out. People are genuinely worried about him,” the insider noted.
Justin is dealing with money issues, too. Aside from reportedly owing $380K in unpaid property taxes, the celeb is said to be weighing his legal options after business managers allegedly cost him a huge amount of cash.
While it’s unclear how much money was allegedly wasted, TMZ reported that the singer believes his former business managers “grossly mismanaged” his massive fortune. Justin’s team is reportedly split on whether to pursue legal action due to Justin’s past spending habit, which potentially made a large impact on his net worth.
“Now he has people that are his friends ‘helping him out’ with his finances,” claims a source, “but they may not have his best interests at heart.”
Needless to say, Justin’s trust issues have been triggered. (He’s shared that he struggles “with the feeling that people are using me or aren’t really there for me.”) “Justin knows his mental health needs to come first, but it’s a one-day-at-a-time thing,” says the insider. “And some days are definitely better than others.”
