Kanye West has returned to social media platform X with a slew of tweets, including a now-deleted explicit comment about former US Vice President Kamala Harris.
The controversial American rapper, 47, took to the website overnight on Saturday to post a string of seemingly disconnected thoughts.
Among his defiant statements, which included ‘Trump’s back in office. Ye’s back a billionaire. The world might just be ok’, the Stronger chart-topper decided to share an unsavoury post about Harris, who ran as the Democrat candidate against President Trump.
Kanye – who now goes by Ye – was slammed by fans after reportedly publishing in a now-deleted tweet: ‘I used to want to f**k Kamala until she loss [sic]. I don’t f**k losers anymore.’
The post, seen and shared by The Shade Room on Instagram, was firmly condemned in the comments, with @feezyimhim responding: ‘Let’s not normalize disrespecting women of color and excellence.’
‘The Kamala comments 😢 & this man has daughters 🤮,’ added @4bmoves.
After removing the tweet, Ye then posted: ‘The democrats made me take the loser post down. Naw I’m kidding. Dey don’t control black people no more. Trump 4 life.’
However, his most recent post included a semi-apology, with Ye writing: ‘Kamala seems like a very nice human I [sic] just wanna say sorry to her kids.’
Harris is step-mother to her husband Doug Emhoff’s adult children, son Cole, 30, and 25-year-old daughter Ella.
Kanye, who is nominated for best rap song with Carnival at the upcoming 2025 Grammy Awards, is no stranger to raising eyebrows on social media with his posts.
To celebrate his wife Bianca Censori’s 30th birthday, he posted a video of her fully nude in the bathtub in what was merely one of the latest in a series of risqué images and clips they have each posted of her on social media.
The couple is well known for promoting her nearly naked outfits in public – while he remains fully clothed and often masked.
Last month Ye also posted and then immediately deleted a very revealing picture of her body in a tiny string bikini, which left very little to the imagination.
Bianca and Kanye secretly tied the knot in December 2022, having been publicly linked since earlier that year.
She’s worked at his brand Yeezy since 2020 as an architectural designer, and the music and fashion mogul finalised his divorce with ex-wife Kim Kardashian – with whom he shares four kids – in November 2022.
All of the Lights artist Ye has also recently been claiming he’s reached billionaire status once again, reportedly making him the richest rapper alive.
One of two posts on his Instagram is a picture of a report from valuation provider Eton Venture Services, seemingly confirming his net worth.
The document read: ‘In 2025, Ye’s net worth stands at $2.77billion USD as confirmed by Eton Venture Services.
‘The valuation is based on his music portfolio and his sole ownership of the Yeezy mark.’
Reposting the screenshot to his 20.5million followers, Ye, 47, wrote in his caption: ‘LAA LA LA LA’.
Ye’s net worth of $2,770,000,000 is roughly equivalent to £2.22billion, meaning he is now richer than fellow rap star and businessman Jay-Z – real name Shawn Corey Carter – who is worth $2.5billion (£2.01bn).
