Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway has opened up about the one habit her late husband, Derek Draper, wasn’t fond of.
The couple had been married for almost 19 years before Derek's tragic death earlier this year. Kate has been open about her struggle with vaping after quitting cigarettes when her son, Billy, was born in 2009.
Although she stopped smoking entirely after her stint on I’m A Celeb in 2019, she later found herself turning back to vaping.
The 57-year-old shared her experience during a discussion on Good Morning Britain, which coincided with Keir Starmer's announcement to ban the sale of disposable vapes next summer.
She told her co-hosts: “The last thing I want to do is any way in sanction [vaping], because I don’t now.

“But my experience was, after Billy was born, I did smoke before and I was craving going back to smoking but I didn’t want to.
“I thought [vaping] was amazing because it didn’t smell, at that point you could do it anywhere, it must have been like smoking in the 1970s, you didn’t have to stand outside.
“Everybody said it was better for you, and I did feel much better. I got the nicotine hit.”
Kate also admitted to using gum and spray to manage her cravings but recalled being triggered to smoke again last year due to a segment on the ITV show.

She explained: "I think we had some props in here or something ridiculous, and I picked it up and I was instantly addicted, like beyond anything.
“I couldn’t believe it, and it made me realise, particularly those disposable ones, are so addictive.”
She then added that Derek “hated her” vaping habit, saying: “He hated smoking in all forms, he said ‘It took 200 years to discover tobacco was bad for you, these are going to be bad for you.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
