Katherine Jenkins shared she had broken a bone as she issued the "bad news" on Instagram. The Welsh star, 44, posted a picture of her X-ray on Tuesday to share she had broken her little toe.

The opera singer said: "A little bit of bad news and a big bit of good news…Starting the year with a broken pinky toe.

"BUT also with a lovely announcement that @Cygnet_gin is partnering with the iconic Penderyn Distillery.

"Cygnet embodies the essence of my homeland – it’s incredible natural beauty, the warmth & passion of our people and the unparalleled care with which we make our products and so I am thrilled that our new home is the historical Copperworks Distillery with our friends at Penderyn."

But looking on the bright side she announced that her gin company Cygnet Gin has partner with a new distillery in South Wales.

Katherine was swiftly inundated with messages of support as fans sent their well wishes.

One person wrote: "Sorry to hear about the toe. And great news about Penderyn!"

Another commented: "Oh no. Hope it mends soon, that is painful. Put your feet up for a bit!"

"Sorry about your toe Katherine, I hope it's not too painful. Great news about the partnership and relocating to the Copperworks. I can pop in now when I go down to watch the Swans," a third wrote.

The Penderyn Copperworks Distillery in Swansea started production in 2023 and is located on the original copperworks site, which was once one of the largest in the world.

It comes after Katherine wowed as she performed at the British Forces Foundation 25th Anniversary Ball in London in November.
