Kathy Hilton told Page Six she’s staying away from sister Kyle Richards’ feud with Dorit Kemsley on the new season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
“I think with Dorit and Kyle, my feeling is if I get in the middle of something, they’re gonna make up and then, I’m the bad guy, so Kyle is a big girl and she knows how to handle herself very well,” Hilton told us at NephCure’s 20th anniversary “Countdown to a Cure” gala at the Pierre Hotel in New York City on Wednesday.
She added that she will “always” be there for her sister, but she knows that Richards is a reality TV pro.
“I think she can handle herself, and she does a good job of doing it very well,” Hilton said.
Hilton, 65, teased that she had “a lot of fun” reprising her role as a friend on Season 14 of the hit Bravo show. She also shared that besides Richards, she’s grown the closest to co-stars Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais.
Hilton also spoke about the drama after the trailer for the new season showed Richards and Kemsley –– who were previously best friends –– getting into several heated arguments.
At one point in the teaser, the former friends nearly come to blows when Richards screams to Kemsley, “What more do you f–king want from me?”
“I want you to stop f–king raising your voice to me!” Kemsley shouts back, before they get closer to each other’s faces and glass shattering can be overheard.
Richards and Kemsley get into at least two other heated disagreements –– including one where Kemsley claims Richards thinks she’s a “f–king idiot.”
The Bravolebrities’ longtime friendship took a turn last season after Kemsley claimed Richards sent her a “manipulative” text asking to talk privately before the Season 13 reunion. Richards subsequently got angry that Kemsley revealed their private messages on the show.
Fans will see their friendship woes play out on the new season, which premieres Nov. 19.
Hilton was among several reality stars who attended NephCure’s 20th anniversary “Countdown to a Cure” gala to support NBCUniversal exec Jennifer Geisser as she accepted the Alvin Levine Award for her contributions to kidney health advocacy and research.
“I’m here for Jennifer, and I really adore her,” Hilton told us. “She is such a good lady.”
Former “Real Housewives of New York City” star Dorinda Medley also raved about Geisser’s work with the organization for 20 years, ever since Geisser’s son was diagnosed with a chronic kidney condition called nephrotic syndrome.
“We’re gonna raise funds for more groundbreaking research and for the families and for the patients,” Medley shared with us. “I’m very happy to be here to represent Jennifer Geisser, and I’m just so proud of her.”
The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice explained to us that she’s known Geisser and her son for over a decade and originally started working with the organization when she partnered with them –– and raised $70,000 –– during her appearance on “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice” in 2012.
“I met him when he was 7 years old and my daughter at the time was 7 years old, and when I met him, he was very sick, so I wanted to help him,” Giudice said.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” stars Heather Dubrow and Terry Dubrow, Tamra Judge and Eddie Judge, Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter also showed up to support the organization.
Giudice’s co-stars, Melissa and Joe Gorga, Margaret Josephs and Joe Benigno, Jennifer and Bill Aydin, and Jenn and Jeffrey Fessler also attended.
Fellow Bravolebrities that rounded out the attendees included Andy Cohen, “Summer House” star Kyle Cooke and “RHONY” alum Luann de Lesseps.
