The mystery of Katie Price's cryptic 'twins' photos appears to have now been unravelled - and it sheds light on her heartbreaking IVF battle.
Mother-of-five Katie left social media followers puzzled after sharing snaps of herself posing with what appeared to be a set of newborn twins, announcing, 'My twins have arrived'. This led many fans to presume she'd welcomed another two additions to her family.
In one pic, captioned 'Evening cuddles with my boy', the 46-year-old could be seen cradling a supposedly newborn boy, clad in a little blue hat. In another, she held an infant clad in pink while getting her hair done, captioning the post, 'Multitasking with my baby girl'.
The former glamour model is already mum to Harvey Price, 22, Junior and Princess Andre, 19 and 17, and Jett and Bunny Hayler, 11 and 10, but has spoken candidly of her broodiness in recent years. Naturally, many assumed congratulations were in order, however, this does not appear to be the case.

Instagram)It's believed these images have now been shared as Katie is set to feature in a new Channel 4 documentary about her experiences of IVF, entitled Katie Price: Making Babies
This week, The Sun reported that the two babies are allegedly 'incredibly lifelike' reborn dolls, which cost anywhere in the region of £300 to £20,000. The source, who is said to be close to Katie, told the publication: "She's posing with two dolls. These ones are known as reborn dolls and, while they look incredibly lifelike, they're not real.
"She's doing it to get people interested in her IVF journey, which she's made a TV show about for Channel 4. It's out next year. It's also part of her preparations for a future pregnancy, as she hopes to successfully welcome twins via a surrogate."
They went on to assert that there were a few giveaway signs that the twins weren't real, including a lack of the usual 'scrunch' you'd expect from a newborn, obscured faces, and the wearing of hats indoors.
To be aired next year, this fly-on-the-wall documentary will feature Katie’s children - but not her current beau JJ Slater. For the two-part doc, Katie allowed cameras to follow her bid to have a baby with ex-boyfriend Carl Woods, who she split with at the end of 2023.
Earlier this month, a TV insider told the Mirror: “We’ll see Katie go on a tough - and unsuccessful - journey to become a mum again. She faces lots of obstacles, ups and downs along the way. The programme will shine a light on the struggles women face while trying for a baby in their 40s.”
Speaking with Mail Online back in July, Katie admitted: "If I could have another two or three, I’d be happy." She then proceeded to open up about undergoing three rounds of unsuccessful IVF, sharing: "I don't mention it in the book. My eggs are too old. I'll get a donor egg."
The following month, Katie joined Love Island’s Olivia Attwood on her 'anti-agony aunt podcast' So Wrong It's Right, where she vowed not to give up on hopes of welcoming a sixth child, despite her IVF setbacks. She admitted: “People have got to realise it doesn’t matter if I act young or if I look younger, your body is still 46, and your eggs get less and they get older and it’s harder.”
Olivia then asked: “But you definitely want another one?”, to which Katie replied: “Or two. It’s going to happen one way or the other. I don’t know how or well and I will, I’ll try.”

Instagram)In her latest book, This Is Me, which was published back in July, Katie revealed she'd found a clinic with 'donor eggs and sperm ready' for her, explaining that she'd chosen sperm from a man 'who is mixed race from America', while opting for the donor egg route despite potentially having one viable egg.
Back in April, a source told to OK! Magazine that Katie's focus on motherhood had intensified following the news that her ex-husband Peter Andre had welcomed another child with his wife Emily MacDonagh. The insider alleged: "Katie has spoken to doctors about having another baby and understands that there are risks because of her age, but she's very defiant about becoming a mum again. She did IVF with Carl but it didn't work for them and the hope of a sixth baby hasn't gone away."
Meanwhile, it's been reported that Katie's ex Carl is 'trying to stop' Katie Price: Making Babies from being aired, with a source telling OK!: "Carl doesn't want it aired it was filmed when the pair were a couple trying for a baby. It would bring back hurtful memories for him and it would open up a can of worms and demons he's worked hard to get rid of."
Upcoming programme teasers suggest there will be emotional scenes in store, with insiders advising that viewers will join Katie on a rollercoaster journey marked by 'lots of obstacles and ups and downs along the way', adding that the show will focus on 'the struggles women face while trying for a baby in their forties'.
