Keanu Reeves found himself at the centre of a robbery in 2023 - and now some of his prized possessions have been discovered thousands of miles away.

The Matrix actor, 60, was reportedly the target of thieves at his Los Angeles home last year, with a large collection of watches said to have been stolen. However, according to a report, some of the items have now been discovered by police in Chile. Among them are said to have been a Rolex watch worth $9,000 (£7,100).

According to reports, three of Keanu's watches were stolen from his Los Angeles home in December 2023 in eastern Santiago. Now, one of the recovered items was spotted due to a special engraving. CNN reports the recovered watch was gifted by Keanu to his stuntman on John Wick 4 in 2021. It had the engraving of his first name and the message, “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five,” according to the outlet.

The publication statet Chilean authorities said they found at least one of the “valuable" watches "belonging to a famous actor who was the victim of a robbery in Los Angeles in December 2023,”. It claims a 21-year-old man has been arrested as a suspect in the robbery.

The robbery came almost 10 years after Keanu's property was targeted twice in three days in September 2014. The Los Angeles Police Department shared in a previous CNN report and said a woman in her 40s was detained and transported to a medical facility following the incident. A different woman was reportedly also found by police three days later at Keanu’s property in his swimming pool.

Keanu can currently be heard as the voice of the antihero that features in the new Sonic film and the character has a fascinating history. Shadow made his video game debut in Sonic Adventure 2, released in 2001. The game, which was initially developed for the Sega Dreamcast, was moved to the GameCube when the Dreamcast was discontinued. It had became the first Sonic game on a Nintendo console and Shadow was only intended to appear in Sonic Adventure 2 but his popularity among fans eventually saw him return in his own title in 2005.

Keanu previously described the challenge of voicing antihero Shadow as 'exhilarating'. Speaking to CBS, the actor said: "There's something really special about the concentration and the way that you have to articulate the voice and express. I find it really exhilarating." When asked about Shadow's backstory and origins, he added: "I went searching and looking...trying to find my inner Shadow and bring it out to the fore."
