Kendrick Lamar and Drake's rap beef took over 2024, and their diss tracks were a big part of it, but only one of them is racking up all of the praise.

Kendrick's "Not Like Us" has taken the world by storm! From the wild lyrics and music video with more than 216 million views to the radio stations playing it every hour and being invited to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl, the admiration for the song continues.

Well, that appreciation continued at the Grammys! The Compton native is nominated for seven awards tonight, and he's already won three — "Best Rap Song," "Best Music Video," and "Best Rap Performance."

These wins were announced before the official live show. Unfortunately, Kendrick was not in attendance to accept the awards, but do you know who was? MUSTARDDDDDDDDD! That's right, DJ Mustard — the mega-producer behind "Not Like Us."

“Kendrick Lamar, one of the greatest artists of all time.”

With these wins, Kendrick joins Jay-Z and Ye as the only rappers with 20 or more Grammys in the show’s history.

As many congratulated him on the achievement, some couldn't help but point out the irony of his win. For those who don't know, Drake released a diss track entitled "Family Matters" where he stated, "Kendrick just opened his mouth, / someone go hand him a Grammy right now."

Although Drake tried to poke fun at him, someone actually did give Kendrick a Grammy for opening his mouth...three in fact.

And once the internet realized this, the jokes practically wrote themselves:

His impact was even referenced in other acceptance speeches. John Lennon's son Sean Lennon was accepting a Grammy Award on his father's behalf and ended his speech by saying, "My advice to all the young folks out there, NEVER get into a rap battle with Kendrick Lamar."

Congratulations, Kendrick! See you at the Super Bowl.
