Blade

Speaking to Omelete (via IGN) at D23 Brazil, Kevin Feige reassured a commitment to Mahershala Ali’s Blade despite it recently being pulled from Disney’s slate.

We are committed to Blade. We love the character. We love Mahershala’s take on him. And rest assured: whenever we change direction with a project, or are still figuring out how it fits into our schedule, we let the audience know. You’re all up to date on what’s happening. But I can tell you that the character will indeed make it to the MCU.

Scary Movie 6

In a recent video from Crazydog500 interviewing Dave Sheridan (Officer Doofy in the original Scary Movie), the actor confirms the latest entry in the franchise will indeed see the return of Ghostface and parody “legacy sequels” like Scream 5 and 6.

The only thing I can 100% tell you is that Ghostface will return for Scary Movie 6 […] From what I know of the original script, it fell in line with the original Scary Movie, following the story of Scream, so this would be like Scream 5 and 6.

We’ll probably be using the original mask here done up as they did in Scream 6, the aged mask. We could take this mold and have you age it up to be a spoof of Scream 6.

How To Kill Monsters

The sole survivor of an Evil Dead-esque cabin the woods + demons scenario is arrested by the local police, leading to a siege battle between rookie copes and monsters from another dimension in the trailer for How To Kill Monsters.

Alien: Earth

During a recent interview with THR, Ridley Scott stated Noah Hawley’s upcoming Alien: Earth TV series at FX “definitely respects” his original movie.

I’ve created the pace visually for a while. I know exactly what I’ve done and how it has been influential, because I keep seeing it — ‘Oh, there’s me … there’s me…’ It was annoying initially, but now it’s amusing and healthy. Like [Hawley] has gone down that route and definitely respected the original Alien. And from that, I can’t hope for anything more other than to keep it alive. I don’t care what the platform is. I’m keen to go home and watch it. All these subjects are embalmed forever and that’s very healthy.
